Shadows Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 After a large number of new designs in 1978, 1979 and 1980, LEGO took 1981 off completely, relying on those former designs and adding nothing new to the line. The next 3 years were fairly limited, so they will be presented in one group. 1982 featured a new colour for the 1979 blue suit, a postal employee and a representative of the LEGOland highway department. 1983 added a simple but useful striped shirt. 1984 adapted the 1979 police zippered torso for a more civilian look, added a striped racing shirt, and the classic overalls we still see variations of to this very day. Overall, they weren't exciting, but some of the designs ended up serving for many years and they do provide a few more possibilities for your town citizens, which is always a good thing. Optimized for printing at 600dpi (1.551cm x 1.227cm). (thumbnails link to full size decals) As always, here are some recoloured variations of these decals, adding the current colour range to the classic look of yesterday. And that was the early 80's. 1985 was a bigger year and will be presented seperately in the near future. Hope you enjoy these offerings, and as always, if you decide to use some, please feel free to post pictures of your efforts in this thread, we'd love to see them! Quote
