Dennimator Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I just got three of theese polybags as well as one of that comic-folder in an envelope from LEGO. Dunno yet if this means that there is or is going to be a campaign involving theese polybags in Sweden. Yeah, so did I. Do you know if it´s the same fig in each of the bags or if theyre different? Ive opened one bag so far, and it contained the neon green monster. Quote
Mirandir Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) Yeah, so did I.Do you know if it´s the same fig in each of the bags or if theyre different? Ive opened one bag so far, and it contained the neon green monster. I opened one bag as well and it was the green one, "Sulfurix". So I'm guessing the promo contains only that rockmonster. Mirandir Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 According to some info I just got from LEGO there will be 6000 of these bags handed out in about 50 - 60 Swedish stores. There will also be over 100.000 of theese packed with the Donald Duck comic in Sweden, Denmark and Norway real soon. So it's not exactly going to be a pension investment... Quote

Jenny (9) and I have opened all three bags, and it was the same, green, stone monster in all three. I'm not that thrilled with this theme, but Jenny though they were cute... Thanks go to LEGO for the nice surprise! Quote
mania3 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Oooooh I really want one. But with US prices, I could hardly complain about missing out on a promotional rock monster... but... I want one. Quote

Etzel Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 How come that you have got the promos bags sent to your home? Are you members of some special club or did you sign up for it or something else? Well, I'm not so jealous about it. They doesn't look very good IMHO but I guess I wouldn't say no if I was offered one. Free LEGO is good LEGO Quote

Well yeah, but we also got 2 Chrome Vaders each for free of the same person. No, we mailed him (he work on the Adult marketing or something for lego(Sweden), and he sent us the Vaders. I won´t explain it now, it´s a pretty long story. However, we didn´t ask for these bags, they just ´popped up´ in the mailbox. Quote

AndersI Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 How come that you have got the promos bags sent to your home? Are you members of some special club or did you sign up for it or something else? Maybe some LEGO reps are very kind? I had some dealings with the local (middle Sweden) Area Rep. when I organized a LEGO meeting this autumn (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23214). LEGO were very nice, and sponsored the meet with a number of sets as prizes for our competitions, and a lot of promotional material to distribute among the participants. Quote

Yeah it's him that sent out the polybags. I guess it's sent to all AFOLs in Sweden he has adresses to. Which is more or less the people on SWElug. Quote
Jvvv Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I accidentally popped in a Finnish hypermarket and at it's toy section there was a human-sized rockmonster giving away those promo bags. And I got one! I also got a PM-themed sticker sheet. Quote
