Fezziwig Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Hi! Before I introduce myself, I just want to clarify about the "No no under 18" rule. I'm a teenager and feel that I'm responsible enough to be a part of this community. Normally I wouldn't join if it broke the rules, but after looking around a bit I noticed that some people were teens who openly talked about this in their posts. I'll assume this is allowed, but tell me if it isn't. If it is, than hello! I've only recently discovered how many people like LEGO! I don't buy that many actual sets, just the ones that I think are fun or interesting. Most of the parts I need I buy through Bricklink. That said, I really don't judge a set by it's theme, just by it's quality. I don't really have any creations yet (isn't there an acronym for a LEGO creation?), which is part of the reasons why I joined. Hopefully I'll learn a bit from you guys(about building things)! I'm not even sure what "creations" will be! Scenes from movies, novels, and history; brickfilms; customization; town-themed models; and lots of others all sound great! My hobbies include drawing, reading, watching movies, playing soccer, and jogging. I live in the U.S.. For those of you wondering about my Username (Fezziwig), it was a character from Charles Dickens' "The Christmas Carol". Having recently read that play (to go with the season!), I quickly fell in love with that name and decided for it to be my Username! *awkward silence* Quote
Darth Legolas Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I have not a clue about your first paragraph there, too bad it doesn't effect me! Also, if you're looking for the term for "Lego bricks with directions in a box," a lot of people use different words, but I just say "set." Welcome! Quote

By creations I was referring to something I created, not something that the LEGO company made a set of! Just to clarify, I have quite a few sets and even more pieces, I just don't have anything I've made besides random tinkerings! Quote
legotrainfan Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Welcome to our community! I think your age isn't a problem as long as you know how to behave... and it sounds as if you do know how to behave. Do you mean MOC? It means My Own Creation. There are some good moccers around here, myself not included, unfortunately. But I think you can learn from those moccers quite a lot. Just check this forum frequently. Quote

Tim Bit Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Welcome to eurobricks. Your age shouldn't be a problem unless you misbehave witch I doubt. Just remember to speak in full sentences and don't use terms such as "lol" or "omg" I'm sure you'll have a great time here. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Oh yeas... MOC is the word. Sorry I didn't get what you meant! Quote
KimT Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Welcome to Eurobricks. Behave and you'll be just fine. Quote
Zorro Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Welcome to Eurobricks! I am fairly certain you will have a very good time around here and I wish you the best of luck with that. Quote
Fezziwig Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Thank you all for the warm welcome! Quote
