Thanks for the review! This is a truly awesome set; it looks more like a MOC than an official set. So many great details, new accessories, and figs, plus two merchant stands, a blossom(ed) tree, and two huge buildings... all for a mere 70 Euro? Wow, I have to pick this up ASAP.

This set is out already?

I want it I want it I want it! LOL.

Finally Lego makes a civilian set in the Castle line. Hopefully it sells well enough for Lego to get the message that we want civilian sets!

Looks great. Thanks for the review.

I have to say that I am a little disappointed that the torso of the green-dress harlot of the village is the same as the one from the pirate lass from the new pirates hideout, but I should have suspected as much. Alas.

My question: When the hinged sides of the buildings come together, do they form cohesive interior, or do two completely different halves come together to make it appear like it is a whole building? For example, it looks like the stable and the blacksmith shoppe come together when the building is folded shut. That doesn't really make sense. Is the rest of the set as incongruous as that?

I was actually there when they unveiled this set at BrickCon in Seattle, Washington (USA). I loved it then and I love it even more now!

Thanks for sharing pictures with us. I can't wait to get this set myself!

Well, the price will probably be €99 for the Eurozone, it's the UK that has the £68.50 price. At that price though I may have to plan a shopping trip to England given that we may have €1=£1 shortly!

It's an awesome set, in just about every respect. I'm really looking forward to it! Nice to see the photos of the buildings folded up.

i noticed this set in the same store today. I was amazed at the relatively "cheap" price. When I'd see the other pics, I had assumed it would be nearer the £100 mark.

Anyway ... I am tempted to get this eventually, even though I own no other Castle sets at all!

Maybe the review will help me one way or another?! ;)

damn! This review has certainly helped ....

helped my bank balance feel £70 lighter eventually ;)

I just love the details in this set.

What a wonderful set

Remove the soldiers/knights by pirates/imperials and this could as well be a pirate set. I'll buy this when I get the chance.

Thanks for this review!!!

I'm not entirely sure, and I could be mistaken, but do I see a couple of pieces in Old Brown in there?!

It does look like the old brown, but the barrels, telescope pieces and some tiles are in dark brown.

It would really surprise me if old brown came back all of a sudden, and that in a shop at home exclusive. Now I can hardly tell old and new brown apart unless I put them together, but where do you see old brown?

I would not be surprised if there were a few bits and pieces in the new dark brown color in this set.

As you say the blacksmiths backs onto the stable and the oven room backs onto the room with the table and chair. In the other building the dressing room and bedroom become one room, with the cellar/larder backing onto the doorway with barrel room.
