October 1, 201113 yr PAB at Fairview is mostly basic bricks and plates from my quick look today. They have 14.6x9 tires, rims, bearing elements 2x2, steering wheels,
October 2, 201113 yr For the people that have been, how's the PaB wall at Fairview? I might check it out before the grand opening. Three different axles, small rims and tires, lots of basic bricks with a good selection of brown, tan, orange, green and blue (though a pile of AFOLs on Sat. were stacking cups with the light blue like there was no tomorrow. LOL). Some nice tan plates, too. Not a lot of smaller bricks & plates though. Oh, dark bley corner bricks, too. Always nice for castle builders. Oh, they have BrickJournal #15 (Mecha edition) in stock, too. At the back next to the CMFs. Everybody seen the new brick separator that's supposed to come out soon? Will be included in the 'micro modulars' set, according to Toys N Bricks. Looks cool.
October 3, 201113 yr Ugh... I am pissed off right now. Here's a heads up to any other Canadians expecting a Lego apple with a 75 dollar purchase that was advertised on this month's calendar. In short it's an American only promotion (even though my local Canadian Lego store was handing out calendars with the coupon on it). Hence when I was at the till with my 75 dollar purchase, I was told that it was a mistake on the stores part for handing out the calendars with the coupon. They told me that rather than the apple they were instead supposed to give out skeleton battle packs with qualifying purchases, BUT they were presently sold out of them so I got nothing. They couldn't even be bothered to subtract anything from my sub-total . I'll defiantly be going to Toys R us next time .

Sucks, because I was going to order the Emerald Night this month just to get double VIP points, the apple set, and the holiday set. Edited October 4, 201113 yr by Legobrandon
October 4, 201113 yr I was at my local TRU yesterday to pick up supplies and happened to be eligable for the free Bricktober magnet and they said, "Sorry we don't have any yet." WTF!?
October 5, 201113 yr I missed the Grand Opening at Sherway this summer, and as of now my schedule looks good to make the Grand Opening at Fairview. My question is what time should I be at the mall in order to be one of the first 300? I assume the mall will be open early to allow a line up to form. I would also be interested in meeting with some fellow users from here as well. Let the planning begin!
October 6, 201113 yr Well it certainly seems that Lego has earned its reputation for customer service. My mom and brother both went to the Lego store tonight, and after spending 75 dollars they received a PQ Mummy Battle Pack. My mother then mentioned that when I was there a couple days earlier I hadn't received anything, so then they gave her a second battle pack! I can't say anything for certain about the “99 dollars Christmas set deal” though it seems unlikely that they’ll go through with it. I think that the Mummy battle pack will replace both offers, but that is just me speculating.

I was one of the first 300, but I don't think I was too far from the cutoff. It still took me about an hour to get inside, and at least another hour just to line up and pay at the cashier. I hope they have additional checkout crew for this opening, because they really needed to improve that at the Sherway opening. I suggest going as early as you possibly can.. if you arrive an hour early, you'll likely save an hour just waiting to get in so it works out the same anyway. If you arrive right at the opening time, you will probably have a 2 hour wait to get inside and by that time the first 300 will be gone for sure.
October 8, 201113 yr TRU has all LEGO Cars sets at 30% off. Also 20% off Technic and Ninjgo. Free $5 Atlantis sub with $35 purchase of Cars/Technic or Ninjago. And of course bricktober magnets.
October 8, 201113 yr Is there anyone in Canada in Ontario who will be going to the US in a city with a Lego store? I'd really appreciate it if you could bring back a set or two at US MSRP. Seeing what the rest of Bricktober sales are at TRU for the remaining weeks and comparing to all the sales the US gets really sucks. Edited October 8, 201113 yr by Canada_7
October 12, 201113 yr Yeah, I don't like it. It's slower, and doesn't really look much better (feels more cluttered). The only positive is that it tells you how many VIP points you have (information that could easily be looked up before).
October 13, 201113 yr Just a reminder that this is the last day to use the Chapters.ca TOYDEAL20 for 20% off on all toys including Lego. I ended up ordering the four Heroica games yesterday. There is a pretty good selection of Lego sets including Motorized Excavator 8043 Millennium Falcon 7965 at their regular MSRPs.
October 13, 201113 yr I don't know if anyone else has posted, but at TRU in Winnipeg (Regent ave. anyway) they had the new Star Wars advent calendar for $49.99, and the Bricktober deal where you get a minifigure if you spend more than $35. They also had the later CW sets (Ventress Dathomir speederbike, Republic Frigate, etc) Along with the Falcon, Battle of Endor and others.
October 15, 201113 yr Looks like I'm volunteering at Fairview on Saturday! Can't wait to see all of you!

October 16, 201113 yr Looks like I'm volunteering at Fairview on Saturday! Can't wait to see all of you! Will you be wearing all black? Do you look like your sigfig?
October 16, 201113 yr Your suppose to wear black shirts with khaki pants. I'll probably be wearing a nametag or something that would say sok117, if not just look for Stefan in the building area!
October 17, 201113 yr I *hope* to be volunteering Sat and Sunday. I should be in Black shirt and Tan pants (hopefully no one else wears the same thing!) Or ask for Simon. Edited October 17, 201113 yr by SI-mocs
