Hopefully that means no more sketchy toy departments

Agreed! Zellers has a terrible Lego department! Does anyone know if Targets Lego selection is any good?

It's pretty good. I remember going to a Target on the way to Chicago, and their Lego shelves were pretty full!

Does this mean no more stores with half the packages of well.. anything, already open? Would be nice to get Target here since the Americans are always talking about how awesome it is to have.

Apparently, Target wants to buy the Zellers stores from HBC for $1.83 billion. Hopefully that means no more sketchy toy departments

I found an interesting article with more information. Hopefully this means we will get some of those Target-exclusive polybags!

Sweet! Maybe I can finally buy those exclusives I keep hearing are sold there!

But would the stores be called zellers or target?

Target. They won't rename every single store, but they (don't ask me who) are predicting Zellers will cease to exist in the next 5 years.

Series 3 are available in Walmarts in the GTA. I just picked up a bunch this morning. :classic:

I've also always liked how they will "refresh" their shelves more often than Wal*mart and then quickly clearance out stuff as soon as no more can be ordered from a supplier so as to put new sku's in place. Unlike Zellers and the Bay who tended to keep old stock around until it finally sold. Really good deals can be had this way. On my last trip to a Target a couple years ago I found some larger sets (crane, Star Destroyer) at half-price!

Toys R Us:

20% off Atlantis, City, and brick buckets.

Wow.

Yup, very slow. Any new sightings? Any new Star Wars sets?

I've been pulling OT (that would be 'overtime', not 'original trilogy') all week. Have barely had time to even THINK about LEGO! *hides face in shame*

I've seen the T-6, V-Wing and Gunship, but none of the battlepacks of the Naboo battle.

I'm just waiting for Series 4 Figs and that new Maersk Train!

maersk train will probably be only in calgary lego store, unless there will be more stores soon  , or at S@H

Haven't seen any new starwars sets here yet, and does anyone know if 'hoth base' with the taun taun, still available?

i've seen series three minifigs at the lego store, they say that they put more out every day, they have no new star wars battle packs.

There's the Toronto store opening in April.

Wal*Mart out here (Calgary) finished their re-facing and all the new SW sets are out (apart from the Windu and Geonosis Exclusives)...only looks to be a case of each. Pharoah's Quest and Ninjago are also out as well. No Series 3 yet.

I know they exist, but I still haven't seen Series 1 in stores!

I couldn't find these in stores either. Got the complete set online, and for a great price.

I only saw Series 1 three times. The first time I had to feel them out, and amnaged to get the Robot, Cheerleader and Skater. The second time- a lot while later- I also had to feel them,, and got the Ninja and Zombie. The next day I raced into the city with my code sheet, and got the Cowboy, Clown, and Nurse if I'm correct.

I heard about that, but I wasn't totally sure if it was confirmed...

I had absolutely no luck on series 1, ended up getting 5 clash dummies from S@H :hmpf:

However, everyone should try London Drugs. Though an underdog for buying LEGO, it is best place for rare sets and great deals for me :sweet:

Have not seen series 3 yet though..

Can be found at Wal*Mart Supercentre at Deerfoot Outlet. Just under 8 boxes worth, 3 of which were picked through.

Bump patterns are different between the two lot numbers I found embossed on the bags (544BO and 444BO) and within 544BO found two different bump patterns for the same figure (Elf). The assortment seemed different as well...3 in one, 2 in another, and then a single (444BO). Looks like mileage will vary.
