i just called tru and they said that they will not be getting the alien conquest, i asked if it ment just their shop or all of them and they said that no tru's in canada will be getting alien conquest sets.i called another different tru and they didn't have alien conquest in their computer but they did have lego alien space so i asked what those were and they are what tru is calling alien conquest and the tru's in calgary should have them by the end of may

Hey everyone. I'm not sure if anyone can answer this, but has anyone seen any of the new POTC sets in Canadian TRU's? I'm just wondering, because none of the ones near me have them yet, but sometimes their orders are just slow.

Just letting you know that all the Toys R Us in Ottawa have all the new POTC sets, except the small $15 one with the ships in a bottle.

for those who don't know the canadian prices for the pick a brick cups and build a minis are:

$10.99 small cup and $19.99 for the large cup

$12.99 for the build a mini

Well, THAT blows! Costs more per fig than CMFs!

That will be the same Friday that the grand opening was supposed to be if I remember correctly. Does that mean the grand opening will be pushed back?

Soft opening is on the 10th, grand opening begins on the 13th.

So while I've essentially given up the ghost on the hope of getting the Mini-Figure set on Saturday [if you somehow get two... or work there... save me one?], at least I'm gonna try and make it on Friday and get the silly little R2-D2 Duplo brick. [i'm assuming you all got this postcard dealie?] Although I'm probably gonna show up too early or something.

I didn't. The boxes were shipped from a Canadian distribution site, so no brokerage applied.

@sok117 - My understanding was that they were mailed to people who had ordered from the Lego site in the past, possibly targetted by region.

This is really great news! I'm glad to hear that they have started to show up in some stores. If Val-Mart has them, TRU must.

TRU at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto has all the POTC sets except the Captain's Cabin.

I've been getting a number of different dates for the soft opening of the store; I think the best thing would be to wait until the Grand Opening.

I've been checking the TRU site just about everyday in hopes that new stuff would pop up - good find! Sign me up for all four of those, but I think I'll wait for a sale on the harbour. $120? Ouch! The rest of the prices are reasonable enough IMO.

I haven't decided when I'll hit up the Lego store, though I'm leaning towards the Saturday for some of those early bird perks. I look forward to picking up some exclusives that I haven't brought myself to order yet.
