prateek Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Toronto is in Canada. He didn't say it wasn't. I think he meant that if it would be in Toronto, it would be 3x better instead of 2x better if it was somewhere else in Canada. Quote

BlueDragonZ Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 haha good! Abbotsford is about an hr East of Vancouver Yes Abbotsford is quite far from Vancouver. Lego would probably add stores to major cities of Canada first before adding them to smaller cities. I.E Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, etc Quote
the_green_avenger Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Maybe I'll see some of you in Seattle in October? I'll see you there! I'll bring the Beagle too, though I'll have no idea who the hell you are Tis a shame tha Brickcon isn't quite so popular as all the other lego expos. Quote

Legorski Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I was at the TRU by Eglinton and Hurontario (Mississauga) and found that they have most of the 2009 pirates line stock-piled, So for all you Pirate-Lovin-Canadians, run to get MORE!, They won't be there long. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I expect that- if they do make a LEGO store- they'll have one in Calgary. Quote
prateek Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I expect that- if they do make a LEGO store- they'll have one in Calgary. If they do have Lego stores in Canada, Calgary would probably be in the "second wave" of stores along with Ottawa, and other medium sized cities, although it's more likely that there will be a store in Edmonton instead of Calgary in the West Edmonton Mall. (first wave would be Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) Quote

winbrant Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) I expect that- if they do make a LEGO store- they'll have one in Calgary. Latest rumour I hear is Chinook Centre as part of that mall's renovation. Was just notified by a fellow AFOL that he found a job posting for a Store Manager for a LEGO store at Chinook... prateek Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Here's a pretty interesting sale at TRU: Any $79.99 sets get reduced to $69.99 2 for $40 on any two $27.99 sets 2 for $60 on any two $34.99 sets Quote
ZO6 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I stopped into my local TRU today to see if the new Toy Story sets were in stock and I was pleased to find they were. They seem to be the same price as listed on the Canadian S@H. Not a bad sale that's on either, but unfortunately most sets that I want to pick up don't apply. Also, disappointingly, the $79.99 marked down to $69.99 is only for four of the sets (Neptune Carrier Sub, Technic Log Loader, ARC-170, Wind Turbine Transport), not all of them. Quote

Huh. The TRU at Yonge and Eglinton (Toronto) hasn't had any in months. Quote
flyz Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Chinook Centre location is official according to the site. Quote
The Legonater Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Huh. The TRU at Yonge and Eglinton (Toronto) hasn't had any in months. Nor has the one at Regent (Winnepeg)- well, only the cannon Battle, but I already have it. Quote
Ricecracker Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 There's a new sale at TRU this week. It looks like they accidentally added the seaplane to the sale, too. Quote

wednesdayware Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Ah, well that in no way makes sence. Please elaborate. It makes total sense. His post states that Calgary would be in the second wave, and as it turns out, Calgary is first. It was a light hearted poke. Where's the confusion? Quote
