prateek Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 When I went to the Vic Park and Lawrence TRU a couple weeks back, the only SW sets they had was one copy of the AT-AT, one copy of 6212 X-Wing, and one Separatist Shuttle. Quote

The Legonater Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I went to sherway the other day, and I think the lego store will be right next to the bay, it's been covered in wood and says "exciting new retailer", I then went to the toys'r'us and was disappointed only to find imperial v-wings and battle of genosis for a whopping $49.99 which is crazy! I wanted the batttlepacks but walked out with a v-wing, not to impressed with it though , oh, and no series 3 minifigs Better than me- the only set I've found everywhere is the Bounty Hunter ship- I've found the T-6 in half of those stores, and saw the V-Wing once. IAmWillGibson Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 this is all that i could find about the registration: http://bricksnorth.com/ If that site is accurate, that's a terrible weekend for the convention. That's FanExpo, man, and this town can't handle two nerdy conventions on the same weekend. Everything stops here for those days. For reals. Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) For those interested in Series 3 figs, the WalMart at Mavis & Brittania in Mississauga had plenty of them. They were all on clip strips in the Lego aisle. Probably 2 boxes worth. I managed to grab an extra Rapper. Happy Hunting! Edited February 1, 2011 by legomaniac83 Quote
Akitakara Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Has anyone found any in Ottawa yet? I checked sooo many places, but still no go :( Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Has anyone found any in Ottawa yet? I checked sooo many places, but still no go :( I have heard through the grapevine that some Wal Marts will stock them by the end of this week. It's been really hit or miss there from what I have heard. If I hear anything I will pass it on. Quote
lowbike1 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) Abbotsford BC Walmart put them out last Tuesday, probably 10 boxes, all gone yesterday... What happened to improved distribution/more stock? Edited February 3, 2011 by lowbike1 Quote

Thanks a ton for letting me know :) I was worried that I missed out at every single location I went too :( Even the local WalMart that just got built doesn't have it Quote

legomaniac83 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 If anyone is looking for the new Harry Potter sets, I saw them in Toys R Us Mississauga tonight. Quote
Ceroknight Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 If anyone is looking for the new Harry Potter sets, I saw them in Toys R Us Mississauga tonight. WHAT?! New harry potter sets as in 'forbidden forest', 'battle of hogwarts' etc?! Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 WHAT?! New harry potter sets as in 'forbidden forest', 'battle of hogwarts' etc?! Sorry, they were the 2010 sets, not 2011. 4840, 4841 and 4842. I was surprised to see them as they have been MIA since before Christmas. Quote

The Legonater Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Funny, my TRU has had the HP sets in stock for a while ago. And they finally got the rest of the 2011 sets- minus the Clone BP and MWJSF. Quote
AriGold Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 For those in Western Canada that has a London Drugs, Was just at the London Drugs in Calgary Royal Oak and they had two boxes of the series 3 minifigs come in, (no i did not take all the elves) I just rounded out my collection. The lady there said they would have two more boxes in maybe this weekend and they are waiting to see if they get the rest of the boxes in that they ordered. I guess series two sold like hotcakes there. Keep your eyes peeled for other LD stores to get them, but Royal Oak has two boxes out with more boxes to come. Price is $2.99 oer fig. Quote
dr_spock Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 I swung by Mastermind Toys today. They have series 3 and series 2 minifigs on their racks. Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I am wondering about the new proposed LEGO Store in Sherway Gardens Mall. Was this officially announced by TLG? I find it very odd that there are no job postings for the store on their website, since it will be opening in the Spring. Usually companies would post job information and want to get a crew together for set-up, training, etc. Anyone else heard or seen anything? Quote

I haven't seen anything officially from LEGO, but I've heard from a number of reliable sources that the store will be opening in April. No specific dates yet. Quote
prateek Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Maybe they already have the jobs sorted out via postings in the mall/on the mall website? Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Maybe they already have the jobs sorted out via postings in the mall/on the mall website? Nah, I have looked at the mall site every week and there has been nothing for any Lego store jobs. The only note about the store is that it is coming soon (spring). Every other store hiring has postings on the website, however. Plus, a company usually uses muliple sources/sites to post jobs (Workopolis, Job Bank, etc.), so keeping it just to the mall website would hinder the hiring process. I am just thinking that maybe it isn't an actual Lego Store, but a store like the one in St. Jacobs or Lasting Toys, that sell Lego exclusivly, but aren't a "Lego" brand store. See where I am going with this? Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 For those of you still looking for Series 3 Figs, I saw 3 brand new boxes opened at the WalMart at Erin Mills & Burnhamthorpe in Mississauga. That was at 7am this morning, and it looked like they were just put out. The top was just ripped off the boxes. Good luck! Quote
BelValcor Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Also starting this weekend, there will be a Lego display put on by the Ontario Brick Builders right next door. This display will hopefully be on display till the end of March (Unless the space gets rented out) for more info on the OBB: http://ontariobrickbuilders.blogspot.com/ Jeff VW LEGO Ambasador: WHaCK-O-LuG Member of Ontario Brick Builders (OBB), rtlToronto. Hello Jeff, I was just curious if the display would be open for visitors to tour? On the OBB blog page it looked to me like visitors could only view it through the store window. Thanks, Bel Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 TRU at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto has about two boxes worth of Series 3 figs. Quote
