You should be good, Target in the US was selling them for 40$ on black friday. Sad I got there late and they had aleady sold out.

Thanks for the reasurance, it did help a bit. :classic: Well I got it! The guy had bought two, one for his son and one for another family member but didn't end up needing it. He only paid $67 and has had it kickin around since then which explains why he was selling it for $50. They are much more expensive on ebay. It's new too, not even opened.

I didn't get mugged while answer a Lego sale ad! Hooray!

Yesterday I finnaly got this set!

It's really amazing! My orc army is now stronger! The best part of thois set are of course minifigs-and 4 orc shields! (Its really lame that their fortress have just one... Maybe this ship looks plain, but when you trying to put 3 Ogres and 20 Orcs it's not that big and empty  ... I will give it a strong 8/10

 Like:

Its big!

Orc sails!

Net (I never have one)

2 smaller boats

Dragon is cute

Nice-orcish look

Cage is nice addition

4 (!) orc shields

 Don't like:

Crownies in my set

Empty backburt

No stering wheel

This set need more weapons

I will post photo of my set (and crew) later today - when I buy batteries to my Camera...

I saw this set back in 2008 and knew I had to get it.

Finally managed to pick it up from Legoland Windsor later that year. A great set, and a worthy addition to any Troll army.

Great review. I love this set! It is quite well executed--great colors, interesting idea, and a variety of figs and pieces. And it feels pretty huge and substantial once assembled (and is quite imposing when padded out with some more trolls). Sure it's not perfect, but what set is? I would have loved to have had this kind of set as a kid. It's a shame that most of the other troll sets didn't meet the quality of this one, in my opinion.

I got this set a few months ago as well. I think it's pretty neat, but it needs some modifications.

I already made some myself (like putting the jail in the captain's cabin) but it needs more.

Does anyone of you have a suggestion?

I suggest to throw out this weird machine that was on the front. Its really not orcish.

Prison inside? I like this Idea!

I'm really think to buy another one... and build something like Vikings ship... or a big orcish flying ship!

good review and thanks, but as for the actual set... i'm not a fan. there is way too much open space and not enough detail. i could of got this for $50 on Black Friday but passed. an unimpressive set imo.
