spade450 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 I am having trouble viewing the forum posts today. Usually, I see all the content of all the posts in chronological order from newest to oldest. Today, all I can see is the most recent post followed by a list (rather than the entire posts) of earlier posts. Did EB change something or did I inadvertently change a setting? I checked my control panel but can't find anything that helps. Any advice would be appreciated as the current set up makes it difficult to follow a topic. Thanks. Quote

spade450 Posted December 25, 2008 Author Posted December 25, 2008 You made a change. Read this topic....(I'll merge this tomorrow. ) Sinner, thanks for the response. I read the topic and found the option button, but nothing happens when I click on it. It appears to be an "active" button as I get my little pointy finger when I point to it, but nothing when I click. Thanks. Quote

spade450 Posted December 25, 2008 Author Posted December 25, 2008 (edited) You might have Java disabled. Is that possible? I am not very familiar with Java but, according to my control panel, Java is enabled. I am using Safari as my browser on a Mac. Out of curiousity I tried to see what would happen using Firefox and while all of the posts come up (rather than the thread tree) the option button does not work in Firefox either. Java is enable in Firefox as well. Edited December 25, 2008 by spade450 Quote

Do you have any sort of internet filter or safesearch filter or do you need to enable cookies individually for sites? Quote

I am not aware of any filters other than what would be a default setting for the Mac. What I mean by that is I use Firefox and Safari as they were installed, no changes that I rememebr making. I do not have to enable cookies for individual sites. They just build up "naturally" and I clean them out every so often. You may be able to tell from my answers that I am not the most techy guy around. I did not intentionally change the options to get the posting list tree. When I first logged in today through Safari, everything was fine -- complete view of all posts. All of a sudden it changed when I went to a new thread. I did just try resetting Safari -- cleared cache, history, etc. -- and now I am seeing the full post in each thread (YEA!). The option button still does not work, however.
