Posted December 25, 200816 yr Hello ! I would to make the bulletproof canopy, but I have no idea to do that. Anybody have already do this, an idea ? I think I can let the initial part for the canopy, just to add something to do the whole canopy. Thanks. Courleciel
December 26, 200816 yr I suggest using a piece like this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=x1477 It might work, but that's the only piece I know, that looks like it. Hope it helps Numbuh23
December 27, 200816 yr Author Thanks for your answer. Good idea. Maybe it's too small, maybe not. I must check. Is this part exist more bigger ???
December 27, 200816 yr There is no obvious part in the LEGO library for this that I know of. The Half Sphere Canopy comes close, but is way too deep for the proportions to hold (unless you hide most of it) You might also get a good result using this, but I recommend taking a look at how Ralph S has handled the problems of canopies for his many air crafts. His Brickshelf gallery is here.
December 28, 200816 yr Author Result for the moment: Note: I add this part on the car just to take the windscreen. Now the problem is to hide the parties on the sides. I think to this: But how ?? Else an other idea...
December 28, 200816 yr Result for the moment: Else an other idea... It's a good start, so far. Have you tried removing the original windscreen and only use the trans dark canopy? I think it might look better. And use the on the sides to close it. And maybe if you could use some white pieces to attach the canopy at the back of the car to give it a more streamline look.
December 28, 200816 yr Yes, like yellost said, use to cover the sides and take out the original windshield. That is what I was saying in the first place. Put the "brick" part of the trans-smoke windshield on the black 2*2 where the normal windshield is. It should look pretty good.
December 28, 200816 yr Author I have already try. If I use this part, Speed can't enter in his car. Edited December 29, 200816 yr by Courleciel
