Yeah what an annoying kid.

Luckily we're not like him...

Braggin' about our collections and showing off armies in different topics.

Just look at my collection - You don't hear me brag about it.

[it's absolutely friggin amazing ]

Of course I'm envious of him, who isn't?

Thanks Mr Penguin for setting things straight :classic:

Thanks a bunch, the Penguin! I'm looking for a guy selling 100 BD's for $40, that'd be the greatest! But then I could get the MTT itself with no minifigs cheap! Ahhh, I love bricklink logic! Now of course, the last rotten think for the collection I'm trying to establish on my own (minus the summer set characters,) are a couple of Imperial officer jackets so I can make Venator Clones like Wulff.

EDIT: It'd be cool if the kid in the video would customize a couple of his clones. It'd be quite interesting to see all the things you can do when you have rare figs to spare. Not, that Clone Wars Clones are rare anymore.

Look, if this kid likes to spend his money this way, good for him. whatever floats his boat. however, I think someone needs the learn the true value of money. I'd be happy with two clones for crying out loud!

Well, Penguin helped me change my mind. Don't hit on the kid too hard, I mean, what if he worked for this money? Even though that's probably illegal.... I'm pretty sure this is all he got for the holidays, and all he wanted. It's not like he bought this, and a Nintendo, and an Xbox, and a hundred games, and a hundred other things! I think it's also cool, maybe one day he'll have a complete Clone Wars collection and go on to be a master builder!

I can only think of one word for this- spoiled! :sceptic: Sure, I'd like to have that many clones, but I'd rather spend on... I don't know, food? Clothes? The bills? Obviously his parents are rich and like to spoil their kid, even though he claims to have raised the money himself. I highly doubt it, since he sounds like he's about 10-12 years old, and probably American. I don't know, maybe he did work for that money, or maybe he just begged his relatives for it, but that's way to much to spend on Lego, or at least battle packs just to show off. If I had that much extra cash lying around, I'd get many different sets, or other things that I wanted. Or give it to charity. :sceptic:

Sorry if I sound so negative, but clearly this kid doesn't know the value of money. It is a cool collection...

Meh, it's just a bunch of battle packs and some sets with a wall around it, anyone with the money could do that :sceptic: . Honestly as nice as a giant army is, it's more spectacular to see an amazing MOC done with a few clones and droids since it shows a lot of effort and creativity. And in the end isn't that what Lego is about?

…Although I have to admit it would be amazing if this kid created a huge war zone to show case his armies :classic: .

Let's be honest. Regardless of whether this kid is obnoxious or not, we are talking about *Battle Packs* here aren't we? You know, from that range of sets that were specifically developed and released by Lego to answer the call of all the fans who wanted army building sets? The same fans that even today complain when there's not enough troopers in the new Clone Wars sets and always want more? And, you know, these are Clones we're talking about - probably the one figure where it is legitimate to desire and possess hundreds of an exactly identical figure, which still wouldn't measure up to the vast armies shown on screen at the end of AOTC and during ROTS. Not to mention all the spin-offs!

Frankly if the Lego designers weren't aiming for people to buy these up by the truckload, they wouldn't be doing their job

I think we can go on and on about this, I must admit that I to have a huge collection after 10 years of collection, but after thinking about it I found a differnce which probly most of us share. The collection of the kid wasn't made with collectors patience and love, just spoiled money.

Hey, what's wrong with building your army?! :hmpf_bad:

You were the guys who complained about getting not enough clones in the sets, now LEGO makes BP's to build an army, and now you are complaining about a guy who spent $200 on 16 BP's!

I wouldn't complain 'bout this, as $200 is less than $400 - the cost of a LEGO Death Star. How many DS reviews were there? 2? 3? Atleast, 3 are indexed, and I see nobody complaining about spoiled money.

Nothing wrong with buying lots of stuff at the same time. Don't act like if YOU never did that. If you won the lottery or something, would you spent all the money on clothes and food? Maybe part or most of them, but come on, stop being so negative about this kid. He just wanted an army of Clones, in Star Wars itself there were about 1,000,000 Clones made, so what's wrong about 62 clones? Man..seriously.. :sadnew:

I have to agree with General Magma.I don't think there's something wrong with it, especially considering the case of 10188 and other bigger sets.

I don't want to be harsh to members here but I also do not think it's just right to hit that kid this way.

Just my two cents.

(Side note: I did not watch it with audio on if that makes a difference)

/geekmodeON: there where over a Million clones or 1,200,000 clones in total. Lama sue said in AOTC that there where about a 200,000 ready, and that there were a million more on their way. /gaakmodeOFF

But I agree with you, If he wanted so many clones, then let he have him so many. I mean, if you spend 500 bucks or more on a Millenium falcon or 200$ out of clones, It doesn't matter. And yes, I'm going to buy some packs too and probably my brother too, cause he actually plays with his clones and an army of 20 clones looks realistic when put an a battlefield.

A little off topic but I like how he did the republic base. I might investigate the cost of getting 1,000 2x4 bricks to do something similar.

Agree with Bobskink. Started really collecting SW Lego since last april, and I must admit I spent to much money on it. As said by others there is nothing wrong with buying a few battlepacks, I mean... who else are you going to put in the AT-TE, but this is way to spoiled, it's overdone. I havent even got any of the new sets yet, just ordered them and he has them all already, in those quantities?!

But that's just my opinion.

that kid is like the envy of every one else. typical kid nowadays. oh u get B let's buy you $100 worth of lego. ridiculous i was lucky to get 2 lego sets last year.

A shame that he's moving the camera around at warp speed.

And what's cool about buying multiple BP's?

Collect the entire theme - that's awesome.

Anyone could spend 200 USD on BattlePacks :sadnew:

KimT, you are absolutly correct. I would rather collect all the different sets than spend all my money on 10+ of the same sets.

Well it looks good if you have a giant army of CW clones in your collection but I guess I would die of boredom after building 20 of these small walkers from the battle packs.

And even the biggest army of CW clones gets boring after a while, I would rather swoosh my RGS.

That was the case with some of my exam results when I was taking them. Of course, I might get some sort of reward for good marks but I never got massive amounts of pocket money for a certain grade (even if it was an A). But that's besids the point.

Of course I'm jealous because I can't afford that amount of sets all in one go - but isn't that the reason the kid filmed the video - to make people jealous. I just hate the way that kid pushes the figures in your face and says how 'friggin' awesome' his collection is!

You know, pride is just as much of a sin as jealousy...

I would rather swoosh my RGS.

Really? Have fun breaking your arm!

Right, lets all calm down please. This kid is spending his money in the wrong way I know, but I think we all should stop showing jealousy as it reflects badly on us. How would you feel if this kid was a member on this website and saw what has been said. I for one would fell sorry for him. Lets just discuss things about the army and NOT the kid and his ways. :classic:

Sorry if I sounded like I was telling you all off, I wasn't. I was just pushing you in the right direction.:classic:

It IS an impressive army.

At least from what I could see on the warp speed moving movie

Soon, I'll have that many myself.

And I am not spoiled - unless one can spoil oneself :sceptic:

Thinking about it, I am sure that I've bought at least 6 of each battle pack already released
