Agersborg Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Hi all Eurobrickians. Here is a brief description of me: - Born in the late sixties. - First LEGO-period between early seventies and about 1981. Was a big fan of the now classic space theme. Still have my sets from space theme complete and with instructions. - Father of 4 kids ranging from 5 months to 9 years. - Lives in norther Norway. The stores in my town carries a deceant amount of LEGO, but I miss the oportunity to use S@H. - Started to come out of the dark ages a few years ago. Bought sets for my kids and helped the build them. - Summer 2008 did I at last emerge from my dark ages. - City and Castle are my main ponts of interest. But I'll buy the sets my kids wants even if they are from other themes. But no Bionicle if I can help it! My set list so far has reached 155. That includes about 20 complete sets from my youth. My biggest problem right now is lack of space to display my and my kids sets and MOCs. I hope this gives some answers to who I am. Agersborg Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Welcome to EB I hope you enjoy your stay! But no Bionicle if I can help it! I dont like them either! Quote
Dennimator Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Welcome to Eurobricks! Bionicle? Um...I understand you. Quote
CopMike Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Welcome to Eurobricks Agersborg! I´m sure you will enjoy your stay here. There are quite some Norwegians, Swedes, Danes etc here also. Nice presentation and I totally understand your display problem, it´s something we all "suffer" as we get more & more hooked on LEGO ! CopMike Quote
Freddie Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Welcome to Eurobricks, Agersborg! Northern Norway, eh? That's a bit far from where I live. I myself live in Østfold, close to the swedish border, so for me S@H includes a quick trip to the post office in Strömstad. The problem with space is something we all have and at the very least can relate to. Judging by your description, I'm guessing you're not into trains, which, believe me, hogs space like no other theme. Which remind me, which are your favourite themes? Quote
legotrainfan Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Hi and welcome to our community! I'm also not too fond of Bionicle. I only have one Bionicle set, which I got from my brother. Quote
Dadster Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Hello and welcome!! Its always nice to hear of other fathers buying (and then playing with...) Lego for the kids! I hope yours enjoy them as much as mine do! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Welcome to Eurobricks! Like Copmike said, you're not the only one with a serious space problem. Quote

Northern Norway stretches far.... To be more specific; I live in Bodø. I would love to set my own trainline. As a kid I had a Märklin layout that was rather large. I still have a small Fleichmann N-gauge packed away in the basement. I really enjoy the new Coast Guard sets. I hope LGC will expand that subtheme further. Perhaps make a fishingboat or something like that. The rest of the City theme also looks very exciting. I applaud every civilian set LGC make. The castle theme is also very nice. I really like the "new" (they are new to me. They weren't around when I was a kid) colours; dark brown, dark green, dark blue and dark red. I find them more vibrant than their "old" counterparts. Quarryman Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) Velkommen! (that's "welcome" in Norwegian, in case you foreigners are wondering ) I hope you enjoy your stay here at EB. Haven't seen Brikkelauget (the Norwegian LUG) mentioned here yet (and don't think you're a member there either), I'd recommend paying us a visit, we can also be found on IRC, #brikkelauget at IRCnet (irc.ifi.uio.no or irc.hitos.no for instance). Northern Norway stretches far.... To be more specific; I live in Bodø. Stuck in the middle of nowhere then (did parts of my military service in Bodø), far from other Norwegian AFOLs, at least the ones I know of. There are some in Tromsø, and some in Trondheim. And of course there are a bunch of us down in Oslo. Edited January 11, 2009 by Quarryman Quote
