The information you get in PMs from me are given only to you for a reason. Anyone can lie about what I've said... I think it makes the game more interesting. It's certainly made today more interesting... It's up to you to believe what the person is telling you. It adds another possible tactic for people and another level to play the game on...

Personally I think it is unnecessary to quote something, as in reality you can't quote someone who spoke to you last night. I think it is fine to share what is sent to you though, just in your own words not quoted from the PM. It shouldn't be necessary to quote, you should be able to communicate with the other players without needing to. Quoting something automatically gives it a false sense of truth; it is very easy just to write something yourself and then quote it, as Shadows demonstrated. That said, I don't mind either way in this game, it is the host's decision. If he makes the wrong one then we'll just b#tch about it for a few weeks.

In most games, it is allowed (and encouraged) to reveal your role at certain points in the game (for example, if you are a Cop and have found the last Mafia, you can reveal your role to get that player lynched). However, you may not actually quote anything from the GameModerator; even though it could easily be faked, the point of the game is to prove yourself through your actions and voting, not through outside information. For all the players, it is a good thread to read for some etiquette and general guidelines for mafia games.
