Jlblue Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Good observation Johnny, though I believe that this is just a coincidence, just as my brother Perry looks just like that Lee fellow. Besides, I think we've had confirmation that roles were assigned randomly. Hey, these eyes see something I'd like to point it out. I'd rather point out red herrings or make over-thought observations than let a possible clue slip by.
MagPiesRUs Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 While looking at the different ranks is a good start, I wouldn't say that it's a fact that all ranks have one rat in them. I think we should remember that in the previous Baritone game... of life, the affiliations were randomly assigned to the players... of life. What's to say that this method hasn't been used in this game (of life, that is)? Therefore I don't believe we should rely too much on motives and ranks when deciding our vote (though as I said, it is a good place to start).
Shadows Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Um, mate, the rats are already here. They are sittin here amongst, us pretending to be loyal and devoted to the family, when they are in fact lying filthy scum selling us to the FBI. So I wouldn't fear the rats getting in here, they already are. What we need to do is try and figure out who exactly they are... I think he's trying to make the point that the rats may be able to turn more of the family into rats, so even the people we think are loyal today might not be tomorrow.
Sir Dillon Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 While LeAnn could have a good reason to vote against Boyd, her unwillingness to talk about it makes me believe that it's more of a grudge than anything. As it is now, it's LeAnn's word against Boyd's, and I don't know either of them well enough to make a good decision.
Lego12 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I'm going to say this one more time. I won't say why...because I'm not 100% certain that its Boyd. It's one of the guys, but I can't figure out who....that's all I'm going to say. Sorry, but I prefer to keep this private......for now......but if I die tonight, one other person knows.....
Zepher Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Okay now. Let's quickly do some thinkin'. There is probaly a rat in each group, yes even the wives. That is the most likely scenario. Though motives may have nothing to do with, it all comes down to numbers. Now, I not that good in that subject, I've always been paticular to history... don't luagh at me, especially you. Balh. Anywho, Trezzi has happily shared probablity, and it leads to one in each group. the easiest group to whittle down at would be the fronts. They are not family and there are not that many of them. we should also at least make A choice today. And for that reason, and becuase there doesn't seem to be another choice, I think i may have to go with Boyd. We need to stick together as DesPrites, Ladies, wives and most important, DESPrites... I mean family. Thouh I'd prefere if LeAnn choose to share her info, no matter how small. How about it dearie?
Lego12 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 ................Thouh I'd prefere if LeAnn choose to share her info, no matter how small. How about it dearie? Do I really have to quote myself? Guess so: I'm going to say this one more time. I won't say why...because I'm not 100% certain that its Boyd. It's one of the guys, but I can't figure out who....that's all I'm going to say. Sorry, but I prefer to keep this private......for now......but if I die tonight, one other person knows..... Its VERY sensitive information...... Although you shouldn't get mad if the majority of votes are for Boyd and he's innocent. I even said I'm not 100% certain here: I won't say why...because I'm not 100% certain that its Boyd. Although it seems probable to me that its Boyd.
Zepher Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Sorry, I started speacking before you did, and finished afterwards... (I started writing and didn't see your post becuase of you writing while I was writing).
Bob Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 It seems the female group is voting as a group, despite the fact of the so called "evidence" against me, isn't even 100% true. LeAnn isn't even sure! Why vote off a fellow mafia man? I haven't done anything wrong.
Lego12 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 You don't know if we're voting as a group, so don't speculate about things. Btw, Adalaide, when is the next DESPrite meeting. I prefer that its every day. It hasn't even been a day yet! Sorry about that Zabrina! I thought you saw what I read! My sincere apologies!
Zepher Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I'm not voting with her becuase we're both women Boyd! We're freinds, not idiots! I'd prefer that something gets done though, and since no other options have presented themselves voting for you was the only way to go! I do not think that a majority will be reached either way, so I would not owrry yourself about it greatly.
Dragonator Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 While looking at the different ranks is a good start, I wouldn't say that it's a fact that all ranks have one rat in them. I believe what you speak to be truth, we should be equally suspicious of everyone here, regardless of rank. There is nothing to suggest that there is one and only one rat in every group of the family; I do not think the FBI would be stupid enough to have their informants spread that obviously. However based on the fact that everyone at the moment is equally as likely as the next person to be a rat, there is a high possibility that there will be at leat one rat in most of the groups. But we should not use this as our only evidence, we need to find out more, and soon! I think he's trying to make the point that the rats may be able to turn more of the family into rats, so even the people we think are loyal today might not be tomorrow. Ah I see. I must admit that I also have my suspicions that this may be possible, and if it is then we are most certainly disadvantaged. However, if this is the case, which I have reason to believe it may be, then we do have hope, for it would mean that there can't be many rats to begin with. Does anyone else have any reason to believe that the rats can turn loyal members of the family? If anyone does then please share, we need to sort out the truth of this possibility as quickly as possible if we want to be able to act on it.
Shadows Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Although you shouldn't get mad if the majority of votes are for Boyd and he's innocent. I even said I'm not 100% certain here: You know, an accusation is a very serious thing, so when we make one, we need to be pretty sure of it and realise that sometimes people are going to hold us responsible if we end up wrong, especially when we really don't need to be losing loyal members of the family, blood related or not. That said, I have no clue about Boyd and am not comfortable voting yet, but I am certainly willing to consider any actual information that someone would share. Otherwise, I don't see how we can make an informed decision.
ptdapen Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I would actually find it most likely that the FBI would want rats in every group. They would want information that all of them hold. Wait, does each group have exclusive information? Maybe they want a range of control, so yes, I do think there has to be at least one person in every single group that is a rat. Perhaps one will be an exception, to trick us. I'm not sure about rats turning people into rats. It has been done in the past in Moonlight when we recruited the old man, but he was already stated as traitors in the first place. Whoever is the investigator should note that, as it has been said, that they could investigate someone and find them innocent, but they will be recruited later on. So far there isn't much information to say whether or not they can, in fact, there isn't any information about anyone being rats.

If anyone does then please share, we need to sort out the truth of this possibility as quickly as possible if we want to be able to act on it. How could you be suspicious of me darling? I am, of course, not suspicious of you. It's like you said before, we are as close as two people can be without being one person. *Flaunts my earrings in front of the other girls*. I just find it hard to believe that the FBI could infiltrate the made men and their wives with any form of money or threat. My husband is very rich and powerful. I think the lower ranks might be the place to look for informants first. I have no reason to believe that we can be turned to informants. It does seem like it could be a possibility but I think it might instill fear and chaos for us and may cause more paranoia. Perhaps we could just ask our fearless leader.
Shadows Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I just find it hard to believe that the FBI could infiltrate the made men and their wives with any form of money or threat. My husband is very rich and powerful. I think the lower ranks might be the place to look for informants first. I'm sure that's what they'd like us to believe, but why go after us lower ranks when we don't have access to the important information. Oh no, you can count on a few high ranked rats in the bunch, looking to save their own pathetic hides from the big house and maybe plotting an easy way to take over the family in the process. Bottom line... We're all in this together, and anyone would have just as much reason to sell us out as any other. Finding out who did is all that matters. Then my boys can clean up the mess when we're done with them.
Dragonator Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 How could you be suspicious of me darling? Oh no I didn't mean you my darling, I know you would never betray me or the family. I was speaking in general terms; for the general purpose of the matter at hand, we should be equally suspicious of everyone until evidence is provided otherwise. That said, I have always loved you, and always will, and I would never be suspicious of you without cause, my darling wife. Oh, look what I have here! *pulls out a matching necklace for the earrings* I thought you might need something pretty to take your mind off the horrible situation our family is in. Do you like it? Bottom line... We're all in this together, and anyone would have just as much reason to sell us out as any other. Finding out who did is all that matters. Then my boys can clean up the mess when we're done with them. Couldn't have said it better myself, although it pains me to think that anyone in our family would even consider selling us out, much less someone of high rank.
Alice Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 It's stunning! It also helps accentuate the neckline of this blouse that I have on. You are the best husband in the whole world. *Shows it to all the other ladies*
Inertia Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 You know, an accusation is a very serious thing, so when we make one, we need to be pretty sure of it and realise that sometimes people are going to hold us responsible if we end up wrong, especially when we really don't need to be losing loyal members of the family, blood related or not. Exactly! The only way we're going to find the rats is if we don't all go and start infighting. I forgot who said it, but kudos to you if you did but if we all start accusing eachother, we'll end up with 'Oh, you voted against me? I'll vote against you" I think this might be one of the reasons LeAnn is keeping most of it to herself as well, although, now we have a better idea of your motives, Love. I would actually find it most likely that the FBI would want rats in every group. They would want information that all of them hold. Wait, does each group have exclusive information? Maybe they want a range of control, so yes, I do think there has to be at least one person in every single group that is a rat. So far there isn't much information to say whether or not they can, in fact, there isn't any information about anyone being rats. The FBI would find it hard to get a Rat in the top groups, therefore we should be looking for someone with a weak personality, someone that is driven by personal gain and would have teh outrageous ambition to try and take over the Family. That's one good way to start in the top ranks. The Fronts however... It may not be as easy, and we don't want to kill off our business! I'm sure that's what they'd like us to believe, but why go after us lower ranks when we don't have access to the important information. Oh no, you can count on a few high ranked rats in the bunch, looking to save their own pathetic hides from the big house and maybe plotting an easy way to take over the family in the process.Bottom line... We're all in this together, and anyone would have just as much reason to sell us out as any other. Finding out who did is all that matters. Then my boys can clean up the mess when we're done with them. You're correct Ian. Whether we like it or not, there are Rats in the top ranks, which would give the FBI more information on how we run things, therefore we've got to find the top ranking rats sooner rather than later. We are all in this together, and I'm sure your boys will do a good job, as they always have in the past.

Admiral Blockbeard Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 so three hours (pages) of discussion and no closer to anything helpful... Perhaps we should try a new rout. If you are a rat, tell us. we will make your death easy and pain free, if you know of any others and give them to us we will prolong your life. Not to mention a healthy sum of money to one chosen person. (its worth a try)
