Capt. Kirk Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 My real name is Kurt (36) and I'm from Belgium. You know that little country between the Netherlands, France and Germany... 8) I'm a freelance Graphic & Concept Designer for many years and I have different hobbies: -1- My girlfriend... LOL -2- I play "Kicker" aka Foosball and I'm board member of 1 of the 6 foosball-federations in Belgium (CBKA - province Antwerp). Kicker is a very popular sport in Belgium and we have - I think - the most members in Europe (10.000). We also have at the moment the best player in the world (Collignon Frederique)... 8) -3- I collect "strips" aka comics (from Kuifje to ...) -4- I collect Toy-figures (mostly action/movie or cartoon-figures but also designer figures) -5- I "collect" also Lego, but only Classic-space because that was the theme where I grow-up with... and for me one of the most fantastic themes and sets ever. For a lot of years I have not touched a Lego brick, untill I was moving and found my spacecrafts from the '80 at the attic… and the virus was back. As from then, I have started building and collecting again and that is now a small year. I'm not that fanatic collector because I have almost all the Classic-Space sets from the days I was a little kid (yes I was the only kid in the house and spoiled). Now I give more the preference to create my own creations and this in the Pirate theme and offcourse the Space theme. That's all Folks and cu, Kurt PS: My Flickr-page Quote
Zorro Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Good to know a bit more about you, Captain Kirk! It's always fun and interresting to read a bit more about our fellow members' backgrounds, especcialy if they are from Belgium . And again: congrats with winning the first prize in the large division of PTV, and the third prize into the medium division ! And do take care of Katrien (it was Katrien, right?) Quote
legotrainfan Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 For a lot of years I have not touched a Lego brick, untill I was moving and found my spacecrafts from the '80 at the attic… and the virus was back. You misinterpret that virus thing. I suppose it was more like this with you: A nasty virus made you forget your LEGO stuff completely. But now you are cured! The virus is gone! Quite a late introduction, so you'll only get a late welcome from me! I hope it suffices nevertheless! Quote
