video, there is a set behind a black cloth with a question mark. I don't know if it's a fire station, but it definitely is a Cafe Corner style building.

Nice video, Tinn-man!

I expect this to be the third CC-building. It´s surrounded my exclusive Lego models, what else could it be?

Well done, TLC: Putting it in the background (noooobody will notice... :hmpf: ) and after a while it´s suddenly gone.

Excellent teaser!

I was talking to a member of staff in my local Lego store and he mentioned that a 50's style fire station would be coming out in August.

He also mentioned a merry-go-round set along the lines of the town plan set.

Ooooooooooo... finally something to go with my PF creator ferris wheel! The fair is coming to SharpyVille! :) These are definately 2 lines that need to stay fresh and updated: "Cafe Corner" style and "Town Plan" style...

Thank you very much for that news, emilec! :sweet:

Are you really sure that this wasn't a joke or some wrong information concerning the merry-go-round?

Please answer here since I think this topic should only be used to talk about the new CC styled building.

I'm so excited for this set :cry_happy:. It's pretty cool to see that the instructions of the emerald night included a building appearing next to cafe corner and green grocer. Some freaked out about it meaning Market Street wasn't going to be available for long (ironically it's sold out right now :sceptic:) but I think it's just not there because it's not technically part of the series. I really hope it's not one of those things that everyone gets so excited about and then it turns out to suck :hmpf_bad: or not exist at all :cry_sad: . I did sorta realize a pattern in these Cafe Corner styled buildings. So far all of them have been "Risks" on TLC's part. First there was Cafe Corner this was a risk because it was the start of a new series and TLC couldn't be sure if people would purchase these sets. Then Market Street was a risk because it was made by a lego fan. and Green Grocer had an interior which was a risk because you didn't see this on the box. I think it's suitable to say a fire station would fit in to this pattern, all of the CC styled buildings so far have been civilian orientated with a grocery store for people to get food, a market street for people to buy things, and a cafe for people to eat at. So a firehouse would definitely be a change, I'm worried about the fact that none of these "risks" have really been continued. So far we haven't seen another fan built building, an "official" building with no interior, or a building with an interior. Oh well hope for the best, prepare for the worst!

I wouldn't be to worried.

Also, I would take Market street out of your "risk" equasion. Market Street was a risk, but TLG has said that it wasn't part of the original plan for the CC series. It was kind of a fluke that happened to come into TLG's radar around the same time as CC. Not to say that we will never see another fan designed building, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

As for the appearance of an interior, that's more of a progression from CC to Green Grocer than anything. CC was successfull enough to warrant a sequel, and an interior was one of the most requested features. Again, no reason to worry about whether or not it will be continued when we haven't seen any further buildings since GG.

As for whether the fire station it will appear at all. I have no douts that it will. My only question would be which LEGO convention will it be unveilied at? I'm really hoping for Brickworld! Last year they unveilied the Death star, which was really cool, but the fire-station would be much more in line with my interest and budget.

When is Brickworld held then?

Brickworld is the third weekend of June. However, if TLG chooses a different convention, it could be in August (Brickfair) or October (Brick Con). Of course they might not announce it at a convention, but if history is any judge, these large AFOL directed sets are almost always announced at conventions!

One other thing, is that even if it's announced at a convention, it may be a pre-order, and the set might not be available until later.

Here is my idea, A Nightclub! but one of those old cocktail bars kind of place... you know down stairs you have a bar, few tables and a stage, upstairs a small casino with top floor being the bosses office. It would work well especially with the recent indianna jones minifigs with the white blazer, gangster suits cocktail dresses... Would be ideal..

another idea is to have a Chinese take away, theres just something real about it that whould fit.

I heard someplace that CC was not designed first, only released first, because of it's lack of interior. Due to this I am positive that if another is release it will have and interior.

I don't buy the modular sets because I personally dislike SNOT and other "creative uses" of pieces. However, I reckon it would be great if the next building would be like this MOC.

This is an excellent MOC, takuto!

And the other stuff in his folder is also very impressive. :oh:

I surely would like some modular buildings like these, but haven´t we heard, that the 3rd building will be a fire station?

:oh: I don't like snot ( ) either, but I love SNOT  But seriously, how can you be against creative use of pieces? Isn't that what LEGO is all about?

btw: The fire house rumors some months ago sounded credible to me, so I still have my fingers crossed for a really detailed fire house.

This is not true. It was not released first because of a lack of interior. It was released without an interior due to cost restrictions. There's a rather extensive article on this that was in Brickjournal. The interior of GreenGrocer was a calculated gamble to see if LEGO fans would pay for an interior. They did.

Thus, it's likely that we may see an interior in future releases, but not because of the reason stated.

It's kind of the same reason, CC was released first because it had no interior, and therefore didn't cost too much. Later they released Green Grocer, with an interior and a greater cost, after testing the market for modular buildings.
