Orion Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Don't know the Avatar, but all the previous posts gives a great inspiration. I tried some fire defense evaporating a water/ice-ish attack (which did not turn as I had wanted... if only one could build more time!). I had another version with a small penguin riding the ice attack... and it shows the Bionicle laser light I tried to use for coloring the fire (did not really change anything...). I discovered this site only this weekend, and so I think my account is a day or two late... but I gave it a shot anyway it was such a treasure to find and had me, to my wife's despair, building almost immediately! Cheers Thor That is super cool! Great job! Quote
oo7 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 This has been a great excuse to build an asian themed microscale MOC from an obscure but lovable children's television show. Fire Nation capitol, tank, war balloon, and airship as seen in "Day of Black Sun: Part II" Quote
Patriot720 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Well, here's my entry A earth nation soldier practicing his earth bendeing I also decided to build a second one just for the heck of it It was based of this screen-shot: link Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) You said an Avatar MOC. Edited January 21, 2009 by ExoBuilder Quote

The Alchemyst Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Lot of these are really good. @_@ Good thing it's a raffle. I have to remember to make a MOC by tomorrow. I want a change to earn some rare bricks. [-The Alchemyst-] Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 He also said Ah, thought 2007 would be enough. Quote
Bricks Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Here is my creation: The old wise man! This man lives in the highest mountains of the world. One can ask only all 1000 years him around advice... Greetings 'Bricks' Quote
LuxorV Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Great MOCs so far It would seem this raffle opened the door on a whole universe of creations that was trapped till now for some reason Best of luck everybody! LuxorV Quote
Oky Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) The old wise man! What episode is he from? I don't remember anyone like him. Anyway, here is my entry: The Sand Sailer! This is the catamaran that the Sandbenders use to get around in the Si Wong Desert. I used this and this screenshot as reference. It's simple and inaccurate, but - hey - this isn't a contest. I really hope to see some more great Avatar MOCs before this thread closes! And I don't mean random vignettes with random figs with fire in their hands. Btw, to all those who haven't seen the show, I can highly recommend it to anyone who likes SciFi/Fantasy action adventures! Edited January 23, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Pigbrick Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Oky Wan Kenobi, you might want to remove that link to that site. When I clicked it it caused some problems for me. Windows of that site just kept popping up by themselves. I had to end task my browser just to make the windows stop appearing. I had about ten up before I could cut the connection . Quote
hewkii9 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Skrall are not girls. They are guys. Including Tuma. Umm I think you'd better check yer facts! Skrall is a she! Here's my submission, Appa the Sky Bison. Quote

Athos Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 This is the catamaran that the Sandbenders use to get around in the Si Wong Desert. Sandbenders...? Aren't they just earthbenders? Maybe very specialized earthbenders? Are there also smogbenders, icebenders and grease-firebenders? Steve Quote

Maybe very specialized earthbenders? Are there also smogbenders, icebenders and grease-firebenders? Steve You're right, Sandbenders are just specialised Earthbenders. There are only four bending types, but I know that a specialised form of fire bending uses Lightning, and a specialised form of water bending is called Blood-Bending, for anyone who is interested in MOCing one of those. Oky Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Sandbenders...? Aren't they just earthbenders? Maybe very specialized earthbenders? Why don't you click the link to find out. Are there also smogbenders, icebenders and grease-firebenders? Well, not that we know of, but it's definitely possible. There probably aren't any waterbenders specializing in ice since they don't seem to have any problems with bending it, unlike the earthbenders who do have problems bending sand. Smog would probably be more challenging for them since it's so shifty in comparison to water and ice, like sand is to earth/rock. I don't think firebenders can bend grease, though, since it's liquid. Interesting. I wonder if a earthbender could also bend the iron in blood? Maybe, but only a highly skilled one like Toph. It's the same thing as metalbending: the problem lies in locating the iron particles in the blood. But I think we're getting a bit off topic here. Let's take these discussions to the Avatar thread. tin7_creations Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) Here's my entry. My favorite character in the show is Princess Azula of the Fire Nation, therefore, my MOC centers around her, and her great accomplishment of taking down the City of Ba Sing Sae all by herself: This is Azula. The highlight of the MOC is her hair, hand sculpted. Decals by LuxorV, with slight modifications by myself. The remainder of the Earth Nation Army who are still loyal to the Earth King. The MOC is titled: The Last Barrier. Where the Earth Nation soldiers are defending the final door in the path between Azula and the Earth King. I took many more angles of this MOC, but I think there's a picture limit, so for more of this MOC, go to my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/ Hope you all like it! PS. This is not an actual scene in the show, just something I envisioned. Edited January 24, 2009 by tin7 Quote
Dennimator Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Here´s my entry. It´s based on an episode I saw a long time ago. It´s an earthbender protecting himself against a firebender: That rock is one of those things which look really cool in reality, but is impossible to take good pics of. Also, I am very limited with parts at the moment, so it might not be so accurate. Anyway, please tell me what you think of it! Quote
badboytje88 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I love how this competition brings this lego theme back to life! Quote
