donneyboy Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I was browsing on E-Bay, when i found this auction. A person is selling every single Bionicle set available. Also the prototype for one of the first ones, and every exclusive set available. auction a nice collection, but I would never pay that much for it. Quote
Algernon Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 That is an insane bid. But he needs to learn something about Ebay. Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Wow thats crazy I have the entire first year collection and some hear and there thats crazy! Is there really only three of these in the world How much does it sell for alone!? Quote
Zorro Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 It is a lot of money, but then again it is a truly amazing collection as well! But as the eBayers under us know, there is also a "bid now" option allowed, meaning one can say how much he is willing to pay for it and then the seller decides. In most of the times this option is on, sellers just give a very high price and actually expect people to bid on it. The "buy it now" button is only for people that desperatly want/need it, or for those that make that ammount in a day/hour of course . Quote
CP5670 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) I like how the overseas shipping is $2450 on top of the base price. Edited January 17, 2009 by CP5670 Quote
donneyboy Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 I found the white mask on Bricklink. there is only one on there. here it is He wants an outrageous price for it, Well then again there is only three in the world. Quote
Motti Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 This is extremely impressive. I don't think they have the Mcdonalds promos in there? (No, not those rubber fake ones, but those real lego part ones). And I've never heard of those white masks before. Quote
Antroz147 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) I have already saw that auction before. It's really impressive. Edited January 17, 2009 by Antroz147 Quote
Skipper 24 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Insane auction. I would never sell a collection like that but that is their loss . Great find. Quote
Yeow Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) The prototype doesn't look different visually from the released version, although I do see some texture-related differences. I also believe that the brick-built McDonald's promotions were at the top of the list. Edited January 17, 2009 by Yeow Quote
VBBN Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Two other people have done the exact same action. The first one was only 100 dollars at the start. Quote
posades Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I like how the overseas shipping is $2450 on top of the base price. I saw that too...where is he shipping from, the moon? (And yes I know it's France, but still. ) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I found the white mask on Bricklink. there is only one on there. here it is He wants an outrageous price for it, Well then again there is only three in the world. Actually, I believe that's the same people lol, given the name and the extent of their Bricklink inventory. Well that was a nice trip down memory lane. Reminded me how bad 2005 blew, but also showed how kickass things are now in comparison to some of those darker years. What could have been more hideous than having the Matoran mature into these halfway decent sets, then get launched backwards into those AWFUL Metrutoran?!? Ugh. Nice auction though. If this was a year from now, I'd have done the buy it now just to make their day and watch people's jaws drop. But alas, now is not then. Quote
Omicron Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Two other people have done the exact same action. The first one was only 100 dollars at the start. Yeah but those auctions didn't have all the rarities like the prototypes or the rare misprints or the extremely hard to find promos. Keep in mind this is Fifi selling this stuff. -Omi Quote
80 Dollar Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 That guy is a BZP member, he made a topic about it a long time ago. :) Quote
