Can we kick in the bedroom door? I'm very interested to find out whats going on in there before its too late...

Or maybe we could try that key we found in the icebox?

Or maybe just knock?

Knocking on the door doesn't do a thing.

The Key does not fit the Lock.

"I'd rather not break the door down." Fay says. "Let's find the key first."

Athos and Sir Dillon groan. "Can't we waste a little ammo?"

"If there is someone in there, the bullet might hit him, and I don't want to pick any locks. That Lady at the desk said no funny business." Fay finishes.

In the cabinets there is a bottle of painkillers that is full, a few more empty Lightbulb boxes, Listerine, Colgate Toothpaste, and a Toothbrush. There is a brush and a mirror as well.

The Small cabinet behind the haning mirror has a key in it.

I'd suggest everyone with weapons have them at the ready... just in case... not that I'm trigger happy or itching to blow something away or anything... :D

Fay pushes the door open and the bedroom is revealled. There is a large bed up against the wall to your right and a dresser with five shelves to your left. There is a bay window on the wall in front of you, with the middle window opened.

Unfortunately, there is a man with a gun pointed at Fay as well.

"Look out!" Sir Dillon cries. Fay ducks, and a bullet whizzes through the spot her head was moments before.

"Wait, don't shoot!" The Brickster shouts.

Athos cocks his gun and lets loose three shots, all of them hitting the man. He stumbles backwards and falls out of the open window, plunging to his death.

A few seconds later, a thud is heard from his body. You look out the window, but the mist blind your view.

"Thanks..." Fay says to Athos, who looks slightly satisfied.

"A good thing nobody got hurt." He replies.

"Well..." Fay says. "Since we're bound to get kicked out any moment now because of what just happened, why don't we explore the room?"

A piece of paper is on the ground where the mysterious man was before.

"Wait, don't shoot!" The Brickster shouts.

Was that directed at me, or our dearly departed friend out there?

I think we'd better get out there and search the body for clues.

The Paper reads:

Well, I've mostly decoded the first message. It reads:

A LOCK ON THE SHIP CAN BE OPENED WITH THE SENVMBER.

The first part is right, I think, but I dont know about that last word....I goofed somehow.

I think you've got your spacing off and only goofed with one letter/number. I think it should read:

A LOCK ON THE SHIP CAN BE OPENED WITH THESE NUMBER

and then

Numbers have second meanings

And if someone else can provide the numbers corresponding to these, we can probably break the code pretty easily:

You rush out of the hotel, ignoring the woman behind the desk as she looks at the party curiously. As you walk outside, you spot the Doorman propped up against the wall, unconscious. After a few minutes of searching around, Fay returns, quite shaken.

"About the body..." She says fearfully, "Its gone..."

Hm, lets check the number above Spindle's suite, and then look in his dining room to see how many chairs there are. Too bad about the body, could have provided some evdence, but someone must be working against us....

"List these and uncover,

the secret to discover,

the way to Spindle's place,

It's right in front of your face!

Ures, Nghc, Daoa, Etun"

I wonder if we need to rearrange the combinations of letters to form a clue?

I tryed to solve the riddle last night, and came up with this:

UNDER GATE HOUS CAN

Weird, seems that a letter is missing. Has anybody else tried to solve it?
