January 21, 200916 yr I got to be dreaming. WOW, I will never ever able to build something even half beautiful and stunning as this one.
January 21, 200916 yr Amazing. I can't believe I missed this one. I love the real Yamato and your space version is absolutely fantastic. Nice photography too, by the way.
January 21, 200916 yr Amazing! We're off to outer space We're leaving Mother Earth To save the human race Our Star Blazers Searching for a distant star Heading off to Iscandar Leaving all we love behind Who knows what danger we'll find? We must be strong and brave Our home we've got to save If we don't in just one year Mother Earth will disappear Fighting with the Gamilons We won't stop until we've won Then we'll return and when we arrive The Earth will survive With our Star Blazers Perfect. What a reminder of one of the finest Anime series ever. For those of you not familiar with Star Blazers (English Title) or Space Battleship Yamato (Japanese) do yourself a favor and beg borrow or steal a copy of the series and watch it. It is possibly my all time favorite cartoon. It had everything a growing boy could want; Space Fighters? Check. Giant flying 1940s era Japanese Battleship with planet destroying cannon? Check. Cool aliens? Check. Humor? Check Innuendo? Check Obligatory, un-combable anime hair? Check. BTW, the show started in Japan in '74 and in the US in '79......
February 5, 200916 yr I am glad this one came to my attention. I am amazed by it. I am so impressed by the first two pictures, and all of the details that went into that part of the ship. Then to see pics from further back, and how much it looks like the original. Thanks for posting. I cannot wait to see what else you come up with.
February 6, 200916 yr The sheer size of this MOC blows me away! There are so many little details that really add to this creation
February 7, 200916 yr Well it's certainly one of the more beautiful things I've ever seen in my life! Love the simple grey/red colour scheme, and to say the construction is brilliant would be an insult. Seriously, this thing is a work of art. The only thing I don't like is the excessive girders spiking from behind the main bridge, I think it would look better toned down. Apart from that: Wow! Batbrick Away!
