KimT Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 They look cool, are one of a kind, and might be worth a lot. Screw the value... They're quirky and thus fun to have the way I see it. Strangely I haven't had any misprints since I started collecting Star Wars LEGO in 1999... Not that I've ever gotten any before that Quote
Spyder Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 That IS a weird misprint! I thought your avatar picture looked a little weird! Quote
-JD- Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I have old Dooku variations/misprints. Kinda wierd really.... Quote
General Magma Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) Hey guys. Sorry for reviving a dead thread but I just took some time to take pictures of my misprinted figure. Just wanted to share... pic pic Wow, that's the worst misprint I have ever seen, but in some way it's kinda funny. Edited May 13, 2009 by General Magma Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 'Aah! I can't see out of my helmet because some idiot couldn't manurefactre it properley and the emperor doesn't take refunds!!!' annonymus stormtrooper Quote
-JD- Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 That helmet could be used in a spoof insurance advert animation! Greetings, JD Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) "Did some rebel blast you when you weren't looking, or maybe you couldn't look because the emperor gets your helmet maufactured on an asteroid," get QBE health insurance. Edited May 17, 2009 by CloneCommanderDelta7 Quote
KimT Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 You got those in the same set? Or which sets did you get those from? Quote
-JD- Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) I got two of these sets and the Dookus were different! EDIT: I added the dark grey hairpiece to go with the beard btw. That hairpiece wasn't in the set! But still, it's awesome having different Dookus! Edited May 28, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
KimT Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 Even the chin marks are different in apperance. Not sure what I'd use two different Dookus for, but still a good 'catch' Quote
Skipper 24 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I prefer the darker Dooku. Is his hair exclusive to the set (colour). Unfortunately I have the lighter variant. Nice find . Quote
Natman8000 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I prefer the darker Dooku. Is his hair exclusive to the set (colour). Unfortunately I have the lighter variant. Nice find . I know that dark gray hair only came in one set, and that is The Origins (Spiderman) And he said that he put the dark hair on purpose the match it. Quote
RileyC Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Count Dooku Variant/Misprint: wow thats quite a strange misprint. Its a misprint that actually looks better than the normal minifig. Jammiedodger you have been really lucky to find that Quote
Skipper 24 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 wow thats quite a strange misprint. Its a misprint that actually looks better than the normal minifig. Jammiedodger you have been really lucky to find that From what I understood that may have been an intended print. Looking at the bricklink page it seems that the first, top picture definitely has the light grey beard where as the second picture has a darker beard. That's just what I think, perhaps regional variation? Quote
KimT Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Hmmm... That's odd. Why 2 different shop at home pictures...? Good point Skipper Quote
-JD- Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Good eye! The thumbnails are the same too. Maybe they decided the light grey was too blurred? Anyone else have these two varients? Edited May 29, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote

General Armendariz Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Count Dooku Variant/Misprint: I have this guy also, pics coming soon I thought it was supposed to be like that Quote
General Armendariz Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Sorry for the double post, but lookie at my fleshie han solo, his face is reversed!! look at my poor han comparison Quote
Future74 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Indeed, that looks odd. I guess I wouldnt have noticed it at first. Now I have to check mine, just to satisfy my curiosity. Great addition! Quote
RileyC Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I was looking at my clone wars mace windu and i noticed that the black outline the top of his eyes keeps on going across so that it forms a line. Its definitely not his eyebrows but more like where his eyelashes would be. Ill try and get a picture of it up a soon as possible. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 My new Hoth Base Han Solo has slipped eyebrows (left new one, right old one). Quote
