Specever Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Instead of the crappy impulse set. What do you think? Who likes the idea of Pirate and Imperial Guard Battle Packs? How many mini-figures should they include? What about accessories? Share your ideas here! Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Actually I like the impulse sets very much, but Some battle packs will be great! Like three soldiers one officer And a cannon and lots of eccessories! Quote
SWMAN Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Instead of the crappy impulse set. What do you think? I like the impulse sets. While they don't offer as much variety, you get every three weapons plus accessories for each figure. Quote
Specever Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Actually I like the impulse sets very much, but Some battle packs will be great! Like tree soldiers one officer And a cannon and lots of eccessories! Lets fix that post up. Actually, I like the impulse sets very much, but some battle packs will be great! Like three soldiers, one officer, and a cannon and lots of accessories! But, I think maybe 4 soldiers. Not too many accessories, that will make it too expensive. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 21, 2009 Governor Posted January 21, 2009 Yes, all hail Imperial Guard battle packs! I'd like 6 soldiers but what would that do to the price? Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Yes, all hail Imperial Guard battle packs!I'd like 6 soldiers but what would that do to the price? That would probably make it go up by 5$ and in euros probably 3 I think. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 21, 2009 Governor Posted January 21, 2009 Well if that's all the price will increase I want 12 soliders then! Quote
Neptune Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) I wish the battlepacks would be like the star war battle backs. I would like: 4 Soldiers 1 Cannon and a minifig to operate it 1 Officer Edited January 21, 2009 by Neptune Quote
donneyboy Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) I would like an Imperial Battlepack with- 3 soldiers 1 admiral 2 cannons 1 small outpost I would also like to see a Pirate Battlepack with- 3 pirates 1 captain 1 cannon 1 raft a small island on a blue 8x8 plate, with a green 6x6 plate on top. Edited January 22, 2009 by donneyboy Quote
mania3 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yes, this would be incredible if they put this out. Who knows? What with the rumors of the Pirate Advent Calendar. We may very well have something like this, as it looks like the Pirate line is going to keep going for a while. Quote
AND3RSEN Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Screw pirates, lets just make a lego napolionic-wars theme! i like the impulse packs because they come with backpacks and a bunch of weapons. but i would love some battle packs, i wish lego took peoples suggestions! Quote
MillerTime Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Financially, it'd be a stupid idea for Lego. The impulses sell like hot-cakes and Lego would much rather sell figures for $3.50 than 4 for $10. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I wish lego took peoples suggestions! That's a little harsh - all you have to do is look at the new castle set 10193 Medieval Market Village to see that they do listen. The impulses sell like hot-cakes and Lego would much rather sell figures for $3.50 than 4 for $10. Then can you explain the Star Wars battle packs? And when was the last time you saw such a big forum and definative data-base dedicated to hotcakes? Quote
ditto Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Then can you explain the Star Wars battle packs? And when was the last time you saw such a big forum and definative data-base dedicated to hotcakes? well, there are no impulse packs for Star Wars so the battle packs are the smallest sets available. that's your explanation. =) Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yes, LEGO should make sets like the 6252 and 6251 - I own both by the way... That would be great - 4 or 5 minifigs with weapons and why not 1 animal too. Quote
Fluyt Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I wish they'd also make minifig packs like Nikola Bathory said. Just let them include all the different torso's and heads, so I won't have to buy the sets (or overpriced BL minifigs, I really hope they drop to a more realistic price when they are released worldwide, now it's just a rip-off) Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 It would be very cool indeed. Sad thing TLC doesn't produce battlepacks. Quote

If Lego was allowed to sell Star Wars impulses, they wouldn't have battlepacks...and they'd most likely be making quite a bit more money. And everybody loves hotcakes. :P Edited January 22, 2009 by MillerTime Quote
mania3 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 If Lego was allowed to sell Star Wars impulses, they wouldn't have battlepacks...and they'd most likely be making quite a bit more money. Castle has both impulses and battle packs. Quote
Ratshot Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Castle does have impulse sets but I wouldn't really call sets like "Crossbow Attack" or "Kings Catapult Defence" battle packs. But if I could have a battle pack, I would include, 5 soldiers 1 officer 1 admiral/governor. Quote
MillerTime Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Castle has both impulses and battle packs. True but those are $13 and they are only figures with no accessories...I was thinking more along the lines of a SW battlepack. Quote
radar92 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I'm hoping for battle packs too. I'g go with five troops and like others said with parts to make one a officer or a admiral if wanted. This way I could build companies without so many officers. For a arty battle pack I like 3 cannon and 3 limber and accessories. I'd leave out the horses and troops to keep the price down. Plus you could use the troop battle pack for the red legs any way. Quote
mania3 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Castle does have impulse sets but I wouldn't really call sets like "Crossbow Attack" or "Kings Catapult Defence" battle packs. No, I'm talking about the sets literally called Knights Battle Pack and Skeletons Battle Pack. 5 figures and accessories. Quote
halomaster96 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I wouldlike a soldier battlepack. Plus 6239 was kind of like a battlepack. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 23, 2009 Governor Posted January 23, 2009 well, there are no impulse packs for Star Wars so the battle packs are the smallest sets available.that's your explanation. =) Ah, but there were both Castle Impulse and Castle Battle Packs in Northern America last year - so explain that!
