Buttons Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 After recently viewing a number of old threads from way back I have been viewing various users profiles (mainly honorary citizens) and I noticed that some of them namely "Vader" and "Brick miner" had not been on EB's since last August. I personally would be very interested in hearing what became of them. I am sure older members / admins and mods would know where they went. I will leave the floor open for answers. Thank you. Quote
Legoman Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) Quite a long story... But all you need to know is here Some of them moved/made a nice little freindly community here Edited January 24, 2009 by legoman Quote
KimT Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Quite a long story... But all you need to know is hereMost of them moved/made a nice little freindly community here Sigh! Yes; Vader, TT, Xwingyoda and SW4J left and then started brickhorizon.com That wouldn't be most of the members that left EB. People leave for various reasons, I was off for 6 months when I got a daughter - would that make me a leaver? LEGO is a hobby to us AFOLs and there's a zillion reasons why one would abandon his/her hobby. I see no reason to talk about the people I know that have left this place. - Why? Simply because if they didn't say anything here, then it's none of your business, is it? We've got some 4000 registered members here. Checking their post-count will tell you that a lot of them never ever post - does that make'em quitters? - No, they just don't post. I see no reason for this topic, other than it smells like someone would love to hear about the so-called 'break-up' and decay of Eurobricks. Well, there is none. Eurobricks is going well and so is Brickhorizon. I still consider myself a friend of the admins there and so does plenty of the staff here. The Honorary Member title is given to former staff members who'd resigned from their duties or to special members. I hope this will be sufficient. Quote

KimT, seen as I am quite a new member on EB's (in context to some other members) I had no idea where they went or what became of them and was interested in what happened to them. (not necceseraly interested in the so-called 'break-up' and decay of Eurobricks. Sorry if that came out the wrong way Thanks anyway though EDIT After reading thread I have decided not to post in it after all I never spoke to them, I like EB's how it is and like Kim T said I supose it is non of my buisness. If I did post in it then you would just get loads of new members stiring it all up again. (which is not what anyone wants-Is it?) Buttons Edited January 24, 2009 by Buttons Quote

Sorry Kim Just when i saw Vader i thought brickhorizion. But your more than right, many people leave for various reasons. I see no reason for this topic, other than it smells like someone would love to hear about the so-called 'break-up' and decay of Eurobricks. Well, there is none. I think that may be a bit harsh, by the sounds of it he was just intrested to know where they went. Quote
