Well, I've had problems with my clone heads. The mouths have faded of. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to prevent this?

Well can you be more specific? Which clones? How long have you had them?

To be honest, I don't care. I have around 20 of the things in my minifig bin, since I replaced them with simple solid black heads like in Stormtroopers and Ep. III troops. I think they look better.

Are you removing and replacing their helmets frequently? It sounds like a rubbing issue, I can't see why it would be anything else.

Just the mouths eh?

Not a Star Wars issue solely, is it?

I'll move this to the LEGO General Discussion Forum.

It is probably the helmets rubbing say if you turn them a lot or remove them. I cant see a way to prevent this happening unless you don't move them at all.

I think this might be the reason why.

I constantly take my Clones helmets on and off, but there faces are fine. Maybe, for some odd reason you have chemicals on your hands that would take off the ink?

my first clone wars clone's mouth is gone, I'm guessing it's the helm rubbing. Does it even touch under the helmet?

Yes, it does. The bottom part of the helmet has something that juts out on the inside to keep it from being too wobbly on the head, and tends to wear off the heads.

The ink must be cheaper on that fig. What set did he get him in?
