commandercody Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Well, I've had problems with my clone heads. The mouths have faded of. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to prevent this? Quote
daxflame680 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Well can you be more specific? Which clones? How long have you had them? Quote
Corvus Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 To be honest, I don't care. I have around 20 of the things in my minifig bin, since I replaced them with simple solid black heads like in Stormtroopers and Ep. III troops. I think they look better. Quote

Are you removing and replacing their helmets frequently? It sounds like a rubbing issue, I can't see why it would be anything else. Quote
KimT Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Not a Star Wars issue solely, is it? I'll move this to the LEGO General Discussion Forum. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 It is probably the helmets rubbing say if you turn them a lot or remove them. I cant see a way to prevent this happening unless you don't move them at all. Quote

Darth Legolas Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) I constantly take my Clones helmets on and off, but there faces are fine. Maybe, for some odd reason you have chemicals on your hands that would take off the ink? Edited January 25, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
JCC1004 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 my first clone wars clone's mouth is gone, I'm guessing it's the helm rubbing. Does it even touch under the helmet? Quote
Corvus Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Yes, it does. The bottom part of the helmet has something that juts out on the inside to keep it from being too wobbly on the head, and tends to wear off the heads. Quote

What set did he get him in? Edited February 1, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote
