Moose Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 In the pics of the Indiana Jones sets from the Canada Toy fair, there is a set from "Crystal Skull" of the graveyard scene. On the box is an old classic era motorcycle in red. I believe Mutts motorcycle in the movie was red, so does this mean its the final version. Are the old motorcycles returning? I hope so because the newerish ones are kinda eh. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 That's a good observation, but I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. The box art is preliminary and the set sitting in front of it is different. So, I think the new motorcycle will be what comes with it, although I'd be happy to be wrong about that. I'll take my bewilderment of that set as whole to the Indy 2009 thread... Quote
mania3 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I just went back and looked. Oh man, I wish, but somehow I sincerely doubt it will be coming back. Quote
Section8 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 The new pics of that set confirm the new motorcycle is in. A shame, as I've never seen a motorcycle in real life with handlebars even with my nose. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 A shame, as I've never seen a motorcycle in real life with handlebars even with my nose. You can see with your nose? Quote
mania3 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 You can see with your nose? Perhaps level would have been a better word choice there. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Perhaps level would have been a better word choice there. The addition or replacement of that word doesn't help me understand any better. Quote
cartoondude Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 You can see with your nose? All normal people see with there nose. The motorcycle in that set looks like a completely new one altogether. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 All normal people see with there nose. where nose? Psst...it's spelled their. This topic is nonsensical spam! Quote
LuxorV Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 This topic is nonsensical spam! And who's spamming it in the first place? The motorcycle in that set looks like a completely new one altogether. That's my hope, too LuxorV Quote
CF Mitch Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I think it really is a new motorcycle. It looks like a mix of the old one and the new (crossbike, not city-type) version Greetings, CF W Quote
natelite Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 off topic: i have to re-read it about 3 times and i think mania3 got it. he hasn't seen such a tall bike where the handlebars are as high as his nose. here's a comparison of old bikes vs new bikes. about one plate higher. Quote
Rayman Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 off topic: i have to re-read it about 3 times and i think mania3 got it. he hasn't seen such a tall bike where the handlebars are as high as his nose. here's a comparison of old bikes vs new bikes. about one plate higher. I totally agree, I was going to make a custom bike with the new base but alas it is too BIG! It seems that the new bike is only a new fairing though- at least it fits in better with the Indy theme Quote
BlueBard Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I also thinks it looks like a new type of motorcycle. I mean if you look at the box it's true you'll see an old version in red (what could be cool too! ) but if you look closely, the one Indy is riding is completely new, more like a Harley, as seen in the movie... Quote
phoinix Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 yeap if you look closely this is a new mold but i guess the basic part is the same and then you cover it up with this pretty smart i would love for the old design to come back though.. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 And who's spamming it in the first place? I don't know. I wish a staff member would come by and stop it, though. off topic: i have to re-read it about 3 times and i think mania3 got it. he hasn't seen such a tall bike where the handlebars are as high as his nose. Aha, thank you very much for clearing that up. Quote
Siegfried Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I'm pretty sure it's another fairing. I don't know. I wish a staff member would come by and stop it, though. This is your last warning Mr Hinckley. One more pointless off-topic post and it's the chamber for you! Happy? Quote
Loganwan Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 It would be nice the get another motorcycle design, even if it is only the top. I have two from the IJ sets already, and I don't want everyone driving around my town with the same bike. What kind of gang would that be if they were all on the same ride? They would be laughed out of the club. No more Sturgis for these guys! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Don't know if this has been said, but if you're talking about the 3 wheeled motorcycle the back part of it already re-appeared in Star Wars, and is going to again this summer. But I have a feeling they'll give Mutt's motorcycle the front of the good ol' style one, but a multi-piece back to only have 2 wheels. Quote
