Blackheart Brit Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 So the Vikings might be in another time and place altogether? I think this is way to cool now. I love the bard "oral tradition" idea and all the missing details. I can't wait to see what is next. Quote
TLV Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 That's really impressive. I can't imagine how many bricks went into this project. The landscaping is awesome. Quote
Ratshot Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Awesome work!! Any idea how much this is worth??? Quote

Teddy Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Dear Nathan, The landscaping is really impressive! The tiling of the snow is nicely done, with an occasional stud. I like the frozen river, and the use of blue transparent bricks under the ice. My girlfriend likes the Vikings in action. I like your cave a lot, I checked the other photos and the only nitpick in the cave is the spotless wall on the right side of the second photo you show in your first post. But ofcourse given the detailing in the rest of the MOC I guess it is intentional. The rest of the cave walls are really beautyfull. Kind regards, Teddy Quote

Siegfried Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Sorry I've take so long to get around to looking at this... It's vast! I love the look of the entrance in pic13 and the snow is surperbly detailed. I hope he does the right thing and saves the guyThe beacon itself is very nice, although it doesn't seem completely forgotten. Curved walls are interesting to make and I like your method. I don't think I have enough wedges to do it though! I'm surprised you break these so fast! I'd keep something like this together for at least six months... but I too would break it in time. Does (did?) the top and bottom front caves link to the rest? Eitherway, great work! I tried to build a hill for the advent calendar, but I was woefully short of parts, even though I only needed the front and one side... (Hopefully we don't have to wait so long for the next part... ) Quote
hollisbrick Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Wow this is pure awsomeness!!!!! I wish I had the skill you do! Quote
Norro Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Just to let everyone know that I've put up a better picture/explanation of the tower construction up in my Tips and Tricks section... God Bless, Nathan Quote
