Thanks for the info. I think I may end up paying just about UK RRP if they put on some extra charges, if not then great.

I wouldn't usually go to all the hassle but it's taking so long to come out in the UK! Add to the fact Amazon will probably do 10% off all the sets at some point when they are released means i've probably jumping the gun :laugh:

Treated myself to Uruk Hai Army from Barnes and Noble and came to roughly £25 after shipping - will let you know about any other charges if they apply.

One guy said he ordered Helms Deep and had to pay £27 in custom tax....I guess the box is pretty big though.. :sceptic:

Please be aware that if your order is stopped by customs, you won't just have VAT to pay on the value of the goods. There's also duty to pay. And both VAT and duty are levied on the postage as well. But that's not all: the Post Office slaps an £8 "processing fee" on top.

I won't comment on the taxes and charges as it's probably against the forum's rules to do so.

Incidentally, Argos is taking advanced reservations for the LotR sets for collection later this week.

Argos are stocking the Lord of the Rings sets in stores. Picked up a couple of the smaller sets this evening.

It blows my mind how much traffic the big established (not just Lego) discount sites must get given the bump a single post on a single thread on a site that posts hundreds of deals a day brought in. Then again BrickBadger tracks like 1000 prices, CamelCamelCamel, for instance, tracks something like 5 million. *oh2*

Visited the Milton Keynes Lego shop this afternoon and amongst the reduced items they had was the 3677 Train set reduced to £118. Not a set you can usually get cheap so I thought it worth mentioning, the other reduced items are probably cheaper on amazon

Lego S@H have the 10215 UCS Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter for £46.49 instead of the normal price of £94.99. Link. :classic:

If you haven't heard, Westfield London's (Shepherds Bush) LEGO store has S4 and S5 collectible minifigures in one of those yellow boxes, for £1.39 each. I'm going back later today for their PAB wall, which has 1x8 and I think 1x2 bricks in White.

not strictly a sale, but 8097 slave 1 is back in stock at tesco direct for £60. i think it's going to be going OOP soon as the stock on tesco seems to be hit & miss & there doesnt seem to be many places selling it, even on amazon its marketplace sellers at £90!

Spotted a couple of deals at Tesco. Ewok Attack reduced to £18 and the Endor BP at £7.97... populate those forest moons!

Probably due to the local economy, probably hard to sell expensive toys atm.
