Although the guy behind the till did give me an extra loyalty stamp.!

LegoLyons Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere, i could not see it, but http://www.play.com now do LEGO, and its cheaper and FREE delivery, lots of sets to choose from, mainly Star Wars and Indy, but I am sure more and more sets will be available soon.
drdavewatford Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Many thanks for the store calendar, emilec ! Just a pity that there is no "double reward points" week in September. :-) Dr. D.
Bad Dad Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Last week Toy r us had Anakin’s Y-wing Starfighter™ 8037. for under £40. Which is painful for me as I had already bought it for just under £50. Pants. Should still be available.
Rocketbilly Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) Last week Toy r us had Anakin’s Y-wing Starfighter™ 8037. for under £40. Which is painful for me as I had already bought it for just under £50. Pants. Should still be available. Damn! bad luck! My favourite toyshop has both the older y-wing and the newer one. It felt like quite a novelty being able to compare them. Some branches of ToyMaster have 20% off a few sets, and I mean a few - there were four in my local branch - all of them big ones. City combine harvester, racers multi story garage thing, creator family house and one of the larger Technic sets. Sorry i can't be more precise. Been a long day Will/Rocketbilly Reason for edit: deleted duplicate paragraph. Edited September 25, 2009 by Rocketbilly
purplepeopleeater Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 10% of all Lego at Mailorderexpress.com.
Big Pete Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 On Tesco.com you can use the following code : TD-SHRP It's supposed to get you £10 off any Lego purchase over £40, however, it will give you £10 off any Lego purchase so long as the total amount of Lego in your basket is over £10! So, you could get some things very cheap! Sadly, this doesn't make the Venator or the Indy Fighter Plane sets cheap enough for me (they're all the current wave sets I need ... which Tesco sell). Still go deal if you want something smaller.
timbutnice Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Looks like I was too slow - the Tesco code in Big Pete's post is now disabled... Oh well, Ill content myself with my 30001 for 65p cheers, timbutnice
mikey Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Argos have started to cut prices again on Indy: 7199 Temple Of Doom Was £74.99 Now £56.22 Save £18 7198 Fighter Plane Attack Was £44.99 Now £33.73 Save £11 7197 Venice Canal Chase Was £29.99 Now £22.48 Save £7 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle Was £18.99 Now £14.24 Save £4 7195 Ambush In Cairo Was £9.99 Now £7.49 Save £2 I'm a bit gutted about Venice Canal Chase because I bought it the other week for £26.99 (reduced £3), but I knew it would drop further. Its a gamble with Argos because they may reduce again or sell out before you can buy!
-JD- Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Tomorrow, Sainsbury's are halfing the price of ALL toys! So, rush in there at opening time to beat all the annoying mummies with pushchairs!
Big Pete Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Tomorrow, Sainsbury's are halfing the price of ALL toys! It'd be a good deal if they actually had any Lego in stock on their website ... 41 of the 42 items they carry are listed as Out Of Stock!! In store is not much better either. I still don't want another Assassin Droid BP, even at £4.99!! ;)
Joey Lock Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Argos have started to cut prices again on Indy:7199 Temple Of Doom Was £74.99 Now £56.22 Save £18 7198 Fighter Plane Attack Was £44.99 Now £33.73 Save £11 7197 Venice Canal Chase Was £29.99 Now £22.48 Save £7 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle Was £18.99 Now £14.24 Save £4 7195 Ambush In Cairo Was £9.99 Now £7.49 Save £2 I'm a bit gutted about Venice Canal Chase because I bought it the other week for £26.99 (reduced £3), but I knew it would drop further. Its a gamble with Argos because they may reduce again or sell out before you can buy! Well there not really reducing prices. Those were the original Lego Prices, they just pretend to lower it so kids will say "Mum! We have to get to Argos! SALE! NOW!" Oh yeah, And all the Sainsburys toys on sale are "Out of Stock" as usual. You probably have to ring up directly.
Big Pete Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 what are you talking about ... Argos' original prices are virtually the same as S@H !
Joey Lock Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 what are you talking about ... Argos' original prices are virtually the same as S@H ! But are you really going to buy them just because its lowered by a few pounds?
Big Pete Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 But are you really going to buy them just because its lowered by a few pounds? no, but then I don't need that set. I did need the Fighter Plane Attack set and I was waiting for a sale of this kind to get it, because it wasn't worth the rrp. :p
thespurs200708 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Tesco have 3 for 2 on all Lego and toys for that matter. Tey have the Venator at £99, the Rogue Shadow, AT-AP and a couple of other sets. So tempted to buy 3 more Venators but I'm thinking of getting a Falcon before they all go.
Burf2000 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I know someone selling the big falcon sealed boxed etc if you need one mate (I think he wants 300)
thespurs200708 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I know someone selling the big falcon sealed boxed etc if you need one mate (I think he wants 300) I have sent you a PM.

EllieMental Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Argos ebay clearance now have 7685 Dozer at 14£ (rrp 20£) 8943 Axalara T9 at 36£ (rrp 49£) Well, I don't want either but seems worth keeping an eye on them My local Tesco has given Lego a new place of prominence during the 3for2 sale. They also have Lego games if anyone's been waiting for those cheaper
willy_poodle Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I tried to create new topic, but I can't, probably I'm to fresh. Tell me please... What's with Castle theme in UK? Why isn't it sold anywhere? Well, I can buy it from Lego online shop or from ebay, but why isn't it in the shops? Is no one interested in it or what? Wherever I go, is it Toys R Us, The Entertainer, Tesco, Argos, John Lewis, you name it - therre's mostly City, Star Wars, Indy and useless Bionicle. Also there are no big Pirate sets, only the smallest ones if they are at all. The biggest choice I found in Toys R Us, but no Castle sets at all at the moment. They were there a year ago, but even then just the small ones. I have no problem with buying online, but sometimes you just want to go and get it without waiting and without additional shipping costs.
