Amazon are currently selling 6754: Family Home for £39, and that set nearly has 1000 pieces! Very good for tan bricks and red roof tiles.

What was the situation at Leicester when you went? Were there many sets available for the amounts posted?

Sadly I didn't go, I was a little run down. To be honest I doubt there'll be any left now, but I'll still have a look next time I'll there, which will be either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Any later than that and I can pretty much guarantee there'll be none left.

I managed to get two at half pricce and 2 more at £8, also got 3 of the ostrich set. Unfortuantly ive plans for the pieces from these sets but if I get lucky again I'll pick up a few spare :classic:

I did consider buying some spare to sell, but storage is starting to become a bit of an issue, and theres always the ongoing issues with Mr Mastercard! :wink:

Argos seem to have had POP LEGO on sale pretty much since it entered the catalogue so wouldn't be suprised if prices go down further there, especially if the sets are not in the new catalogue. Although If they have Battle of Alamut in stock today at the local store I may be tempted...dont want to miss out completely!

Not quite in leicester, but only just down the road in Corby.

I can never resist a quick peek in Dominoes. Not really ever had any real bargains from there but although quite small i think their pick a brick is usully much better than any LEGO store one i've seen. The amounts of each piece is usually quite limited but I think they must breakdown returned/discontinued sets so you often get a much more interesting range of pieces. Not just tons of 2x4's in lime green and pale blue :tongue:

Not exactly a LEGO bargain but this might interest anyone with brick storage issues...

Not super cheap but work well for me, sure i've seen them about for £12 quid+. Out of stock on the website but my local store had loads about this morning.

Thanks for the heads up! In Ireland the offer is €10 on every €50 spent and €20 on every €100, so a little easier to get the vouchers here.

Another thing i've just realised. Toy story lego is still 3 for 2, so combine that with the vouchers for some serious savings.

I got some Series 1 from our local Toymaster store. My WHSmiths sold out ages ago. Waiting on Series 2 to appear now. If you need help acquiring a particular minifig then LMK and I can scout my local store to see if I can get it.

Glad i could help :) it was first mentioned on brickset, they have some pretty good links to sales every now and then.

I was very tempted to get a set myself as it was so cheap. but I talked myself out of it. I dont own any star wars sets and im scared what will happen if i open that door lol!

Okay, so this isn't a sale and it certainly isn't a deal, but my local Tesco is selling the Bionicle Stars for £15 each. Has anyone else seen them at this price in Tesco, or is it just a mistake at mine?

Must be an error. My local Tescos have them at €5.99, or about five pounds.

Checked in-store at Tesco just to see if there are any deals here in Ireland. Nothing it would seem (before it was sold out, there was the midi-millenium Falcon back down to sub-€30 after Tesco did a fake price increase to €54 for two weeks). Also Tesco seem to have increased the price on the snowtrooper sets to over €14.50, up from €12.99.

Argos still have some clearance Lego stock - wondering if it is likely they'll reduce these further?

My argos doesn't sell any of the collectable figures, nor my whsmiths. Nor does the airport resulting in Nil for me. Do any others of you in the U.K have this problem. Also what is the status of PAB in MK, might possibly be going next week or on the monday/tuesday.

Think the collectable minifigs are pretty much sold out. I havent seen any for a while in the argos or whsmiths near me either. You can buy them online through the john lewis website though obviously you cant pick which ones you want

As for the airport, ive seen it in toys r us and John lewis.

Nah what it is, is that our Argos refuses to stock them for reasons unknown. Also the whsmiths has never stocked them.

sorry mate, misread your first post. Weird that the havent had them, all the argos and smiths near me have had them. Hope you find some.
