Argos have lots of sets reduced further than before, they're now at half price or less. An example of which is the 4841 Hogwarts Express now at £39.99 instead of the RRP of £79.99, that's an excellent price for that set, so I've just reserved one. :classic:

Grr ... I bought one of these on Monday when it was £10 more expensive! Mind you, all my local stores now say out of stock ... otherwise I'd go buy another and then return it with the original receipt to mean the one I keep is at the new lower price.

Tesco have had them for ages, my local one had 2 boxes of S3 Tuesday week, when I checked this Tuesday there were only a dozen or so packs left from the 2!

They also had boxes of S2 when they were out

Tesco's 20% off deal is particularly tasty for clearanced items in the Bargains aisle.

I picked up General Grevious' Starfighter for £27.54 today :) Plo Koon's Starfighter is £15.54 or thereabouts. Not as sure on that one personally.

My WHSmiths had them a while ago and are now sold out  only place close by where i live which sold them

I'd better hurry then! Damn, they are a bit more expensive in the UK than in Europe (2 GBP/2 €)

Just a reminder that the Smyths White Boba Fett promotion starts today. I picked up a few earlier today from one of the Irish stores.

Thanks for the reminder - drove to my nearest Smyths (Wigan) before work and scored 3 white Boba Fetts.

Not really any other offers worth noting except perhaps 7569 POP Desert attack for £6.99

Then wandered over to Asda and got 7915 Imperial V-Wing for £14.97

& 7913 Clone Tropper BP for £6.97

No Mando BP's or Battle of Naboo though :cry_sad:

8092 Luke's Landspeeder was available for £18.47

and there were some minor offers on a couple of City sets.

Skint, late for work but happy :classic:

Count yourself lucky, my local Argos had nothing but a couple of Toy Story Sets. :cry_sad::cry_sad::cry_sad:

Where from?

Posted (edited)

from Denners in my home town , the posters are individually numbered I managed to get 012720 to 012723

Interesting. I thought they were called Beales everywhere except my hometown where it's called Denners

I picked 2 up and was about to walk out with them until I saw a tiny little sign that said you only got them free a purchase! Could have been a little embarassing. Even at 10% off, there was nothing for me since i'd bought all the sets I wanted from Tesco (20%-25% off!)

hmmm very interesting indeed, obviously you popped downstairs into Denners as well..

The staff are fantastic and many years ago the manager gave me one of the legomen advertising figures .. the 12" ones as they were going to be binned.. :sweet:

Cheaper on Amazon Link

This is the problem with WHSmiths sales ... their base selling price is usually so inflated, they need to knock 50% off for the price to be even competitive.

My Tesco hasn't changed all of the 20% off prices back yet, which surprised me as the 20% off deal finished on Sunday.

The bargains aisle had even better deals for General Grevious Starfighter, which was £20, and Plo Koon's Starfighter, which was £12!

So if you missed out on those before, I'd say they were really good prices at more that 50% off on each.
