escortmad79 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 For anyone that picked up a copy of the Sun newspaper (1st July), check out the toys'r'us ad, there's a voucher on there which entitles you to celebrate the jubilee by giving 20% off all toys for a set period (Can't remember when it expires as I removed the voucher & threw the paper away). Reading the above about Smyths also doing it, I can see why they've decided to do this!

lukeyboymac Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) Payday yesterday and a Falcon for £89-Sombody stop me (please!!!!) Erm, it's very grey and it's not the death star? (sorry it's the best I can do). WH Smiths are doing 5 off a 15 spend at the moment - on the back of receipts, which makes minifigures pretty reasonable. Edited June 1, 2012 by lukeyboymac

He cant yet post a new thread in the for sale section as he's a new member so he's trying his luck in here

LauraC Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) For anyone in Newcastle, Fenwicks have a special offer on all Lego, buy one get one half price. Looks like it includes all Lego, even the base plates and big sets. I think it said it finishes tomorrow though unfortunately! Also managed to find some cheap lego in TK Maxx in Newcastle Monument, looks like they're having a toy sale with some stuff down to 50% off. I bought a SW brickmaster set and pharaohs quest set and they still had some Toy story Lego sets left, don't know if they'll add more to it later though so worth a look. No idea if the toy sale is specific to this branch or a country wide sale though. Edited June 9, 2012 by LauraC
Sam892 Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Don't know if this has been said yet but my Local TRU has a promotion where if you buy a selected set you get a £10 gift card. There are 5 sets the only two I can remember are the Y-wing and the funhouse. If you want an extra £5 off robinsons fruit shoots have a coupon on the side.
Vindice Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 An ASDA close to where my brother works are selling some super hero sets on clearance Loki's cosmic Cube escape reduced to £6 from £20 Capt America motorcycle £5 from £10 Wolverines chopper showdown £6 from £20 Might only be a one off as I've checked 2 other ASDA's an they haven't got any offers on but I'd check your local out.

Thego Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Argos had the Monster Fighters sets when I popped in today.
Vindice Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Picked up some Monster fighters in Argos. the castle is too awesome to pass up. i could only find the dirt cheap Avengers sets in ASDA in Eastleigh. unfortunately they have run out now. The saving was ridiculously good and my brother found some sets hidden elsewhere in the store obviously by people coming back later. Still worth checking local ASDA's though, you never know what you may find.

Vindice Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I've only heard of this one ASDA doing them now out of a reasonable number. It's a shame, I managed to make off with a heck of a lot of Aliens though for my latest MOC! I think this one store must have had some sort of mental episode, they said they were reduced to clear despite only recently being out. Scoring a number of Cosmic cube escapes and Wolverine choppers for £6 each made my week!
Thego Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Maybe Asda were selling them off so they could stock the new sets coming out - new Star Wars, Monster Fighters, LOTR?
escortmad79 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Weirdly my local Asda has the Captain America cycle set for £11.99, seemingly higher than it should be!!
Vindice Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Same for the 3 local ASDAs to me. Sets were actually higher than i expected. I think it was just this one store unfortunately.
LauraC Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Early Learning Centre website has a sale on with some Lego sets, including the Dino stuff and some SW sets!
mrklaw Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) Early Learning Centre website has a sale on with some Lego sets, including the Dino stuff and some SW sets! Argh, if only I'd known a couple of days ago, before spending £15 on a t-rex from bricklink. Bought the trex helicopter set and raptor jeep set anyway. Shame they are out of stock of the log cabin Edit - and the triceratops set. So that's t-Rex hunter, triceratops trapper and raptor Chase for the same cost as the RRP for Dino defence HQ. nice :) Edited June 16, 2012 by mrklaw
Ash Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Speaking of Dino the big Dino Defence HQ just hit 28% off at Amazon. Brings it down under £60 which is pretty damn good. I ordered one to stash away for Christmas and there are only "3 left in stock" so might not last long. Also the Mintaurus game is 56% off which is the cheapest it's been. This was really popular when it was on sale last time. I assume because it's a really cheap way to get loads and loads of lime green bricks (close to 200 of them at well under 4p a piece). There's quite a few other interesting Amazon specials at the moment... probably shifting stock to make way for Monster Fighters and Lord of the Rings. Of course if you checked Brick Badger as often as I did you'd already know this
mrklaw Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 i keep seeing that apple tree house on offer. Last time I bought the lighthouse instead.
SilentMode Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I decided to grab some Minotauruses, just in case.
Ash Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Re Houses: Yeah, both of those are really tempting at that price... and the Hillside House as well. I haven't quite pulled the trigger on any of them yet, but I'm really tempted. There's always a back of my mind voice shouting "What if they're never this price again?" Re Minotaurus: I resisted the urge. It's really tempting as a just in case but I honestly can't think what I'd want lime green things for. I only have one MOC planned (if I ever get around to it) and that'll need loads of tan and other Pharoah's Quest colours... so my "just in case" money has been going towards that!
