Good shout on the daily mail offer (horrible newspaper but couple of cool sets)

Argos have quite a few sets reduced by 20%

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Browse?storeId=10151&langId=110&catalogId=10001&mRR=true&c_1=1|category_root|Toys|33006252&c_2=2|33006252|LEGO+and+construction+toys|33006903&c_3=3|cat_33006903|LEGO|33014616&r_001=8|Character|LEGO+Star+Wars|1

Amazon are matching them on some like the General Grievous Wheel Bike - £15.99

And I dont know if they are supposed to do it... but the kind staff of the Liverpool Lego shop will help you 'feel out' the Simpson figure you want if you ask nicely.

Not a newspaper buyer generally, can anyone tell me how the Daily Mail lego polybag thing works.

If you go WHSmiths and buy a Daily Mail they give you a LEGO PolyBag when you purchase the paper. You can buy multiple papers and get multiple Polybags, but some stores limit per so many per customer. However you can get straight back in the que usually and buy more. If there's not a WHSmiths near you, then you can buy the paper else where and take the coupon inside to Toys 'R' us where they'll give you the LEGO. Both TRU and WHSmiths run out of LEGO pretty fast so it's best to get there early.

Checking out the deals on lego.com, and I'm just wondering, if I buy a set that is out of stock and Revan goes in the basket will I still get him even if the set won't be back in stock until late May?

Also if I buy 1 set that isn't available until late May, and one set that is available now, will they both be sent in late May?

Went to WHSmiths today to pick up some Spider Gliders, I was suprised however that my WHSmith store was empty. There wasn't a soul except the employees, is it just my store or is it like this else where? The DM don't really promote these promotions as well as the Sun used to. I remember the Sun having TV ads and everything.

I picked up 3 - one from a TRU and two from different WHSmiths - around the Oxford area.

Got four spider gliders yesterday, but although I would have liked some more of toady's offerring but felt at £1.50 it was a bit expensive! I have to say that this time apart from the two over the weekend with the mini-figures the ones on offer the rest oif the week look a little half hearted, not sure if I will pick them up or not?

This is kind of more of a deal request than an actual deal, but does anyone know where to get hold of 65036 Utapau Troopers? Amazon doesn't seem to carry it except through overpriced resellers, and neither John Lewis nor my local toy store have it on the shelves. Why is it so hard to find in the UK?

Just wanted to thank members for highlighting the Daily Mail lego offer. Was nice to have cheap mini builds to destress over a difficult exam week. Taking A'levels way past the normal age as in 35 years late!!! :classic:

Just popped into my local Tesco and I'm pretty sure they had them. Might be worth you checking there or a local John Lewis.

10% off all toys @ smythestoys.com - today only, might also be in store? Not bad if you're after an Ewok Village, Death Star or SSD.

Actually 10% off all bank holiday weekend (so until end of Monday) plus a free £6 voucher (good for June and July on spends over £50).

My local Smyths (Salisbury) were also putting the summer wave sets out on the shelves today too- took great restraint not to buy a Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!

How much was it

Spaceship was 79.99 according to the guy stocking the shelves- nothing had prices on yet. Smyths generally seems to stock all the new stuff at RRP; I only asked about the spaceship, the Creator Bike Shop and cafe (£59.99) and the new train station (£49.99). Came away with a modular pet store instead as I can see the other sets being reduced in the future, whereas I've never seen the modulars at reduced price ever.

Yeah my local store "Toys UK" had a lot of Summer sets. Interesting prices.

- Spaceship is £79.99 as mentioned.

- Agents Truck is £79.99 (I got it).

- Ninjago Temple £79.99 (I think...maybe it was £89.99 actually, but yeah it was no more than that).

Smyths have started selling Ecto1.

Visited today (Monday) and asked when it would be in.

The assistant told me they had them in the warehouse, they just hadn't put them out yet.

He was more than happy to get one for me.

They had all the new Star Wars sets out too, the B-wing, the star destroyer, the AT-AT, the snowspeeder and all the crappy prequel ones.
