Praiter Yed Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) Spotted 76001 The Bat Vs Bane Tumbler chase in my local Asda & the one near where I work for £25 - so might be worth a look in an Asda near you? Also some really good reductions on Amazon UK at the moment, especially on Super Heroes & Star Wars - too many to list. Edited November 5, 2014 by Praiter Yed
The Brigante Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 76022 X-Men vs the Sentinel down to £29.99 on Amazon UK at the moment. As is Knowhere Escape. Milano Spaceship Rescue is down to £47.99. Also on Amazon.
Simarilius Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Argos are doing the 3 for 2 on toys again. Amazon has the at-at for 72.99, the snow speeder for 25.43, the b-wing for 38.95 and the Technic Volvo for 132.99
paul_delahaye Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 The UK Catalogue "Very" has 3 for 2 on toys at the moment, I've just picked up 3 of the Volvo Technic Loader for the price of 2, plus they had an extra £30 off credit for new members, so they worked out at £104 each, best price I've found. Argos 3 for 2 just was not cutting it
Robianco Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Just picked up The Phantom from John Lewis for £12
Lord Tyrus Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Yup, John Lewis has some great deals: Death Star Troopers for £8!
Tariq j Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Agreed, John Lewis is brilliant when it comes to buying Lego.
williejm Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 amazon uk have the Bat v Tumbler Batman set for a tasty £25 at the moment ...
Krikkit Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Remember, both john lewis and toys r us will price match, take your mobile to get the best prices.
Robianco Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) John Lewis won't price match Amazon. They only price match 'bricks and clicks' stores... So they need a physical store to be able to price match them. They often match of their own accord but you won't be able to ask them to at your request. Edited November 22, 2014 by Robianco
Krikkit Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 There is a sign in our JL that says will match items online. I have used it a few times.
Robianco Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 There is a sign in our JL that says will match items online. I have used it a few times. I'll have to have a chat with a member of staff then and see how it works. Most of the time they match without me having to check but it's worthwhile knowing! :) ..... Good work, Stan!
Praiter Yed Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 76021 Milano Spaceship Rescue is down to £47.99 on Amazon UK - don't know if it's an offer to 'jump' at but according to brickbadger.com that's the lowest it's been on Amazon so far.
Robianco Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 £48.99 was the lowest before that but it jumped up to £53.99 shortly after. I'd say it's about the best we're going to get a £70 set for in the UK... Gone are the days of ASDA or Tesco dropping these things to half price it seems!
Sam892 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 £48.99 was the lowest before that but it jumped up to £53.99 shortly after. I'd say it's about the best we're going to get a £70 set for in the UK... Gone are the days of ASDA or Tesco dropping these things to half price it seems! Around January this year my TESCO they had the Shell Raisers reduced from £69.00 to £35. This was just after Christmas though.
Robianco Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Yeah... I used to get all kinds of stuff like that at Tesco... Iron Man Mansion for £17, Council of Elrond for £12, Jedi Strike Fighter for £7!!... Nothing close to that for a while though!
Robianco Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 ^ Jedi Strike Fighter? What's that? Striker Class Starfighter... Set 9497. I was on my phone and running off memory hence the shortening of the name! ;)
Sir Brickalot Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Ok. Wow, SEVEN pounds?! You're right, they don't do sales like those nowadays... Edited December 12, 2014 by Sir Brickalot
Robianco Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Ok. Wow, SEVEN pounds?! You're right, they don't do sales like those nowadays... It was a total freak stroke of luck. I'd gone in a month or so earlier and they had them listed for £15 but were sold out. I popped in one day and there it was on the shelf... I took it to customer service and they'd said it was reduced to £7. Had a crease on the front of the box but apparently it had been found on a shelf so they stuck it back out! Since they rearranged the store and gave Lego it's own section they've only had the odd 10% off since then!
Krikkit Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 (edited) John Lewis selling the Spiderman copter with green goblin for £35 lowest I've seen out of eBay And although not Lego... The Megablocks UNSC Mantis and a couple of other sets (Spectre and UNSC Seige Bike) are £30 in Argos. That is £30 for all 3 sets, not £30 each. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2780689.htm The Mantis is 30 on its own in TrU. Edited December 14, 2014 by Krikkit
Zilcho Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I bought the GotG Milano set for ~£40 from John Lewis thanks to their low price in addition to my staff discount >:) Also yesterday I bought the Smaug and Dale sets from John Lewis with 25% off thanks to my staff discount >:)
Robianco Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Do 'Staff Discounts' count as an advertisable UK Sale? ;)
Sir Brickalot Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Is it only me who hasn't seen CMFs in any of the big stores recently? Is there a shortage?
