Still Raindrop Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I really enjoyed the Rock Raiders PC game, and I am also quite fond of the Power Miners line. Something about it captures the gritty, underground feel for me really well. So, I decided to make a few MOCs of objects from the RR game, envisioned as PM equipment. Thus, they're not supposed to be a faithful reproduction of things from the RR game, but rather re-imagined for this new line. These are small, partly because I like working with small details, and partly because I have a very limited amount of lime elements Tool store (note the dynamite plunger): Support Station (which really became more of a simple air purifier, without the rest of the station): Small transport truck (based also on the transport truck from the Crystal Reaper): Quote

Asuka Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Very fine, I especially like your air purifier... such little but very useful details add a lot to the whole mining experience... Quote
Still Raindrop Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 Thanks! Glad you like them. Quote
calebexo01 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 these are awesome! i love the rock raiders pc game! (it was one of the few games that actualy worked on my junky computer when all the lego pc games started coming out) i would always build mocs of the buildings in the game and i tried to get them as acurate as possible. i remember i had a very large display of rock raiders mocs and i would build the power paths out of paper since i didn't have enough baseplates. good times.... Spyder Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 The transport truck is my favorite. I especially like the mini roll cage you made. I want to make my own now. Great work! (Small details are the best. Don't forget that, and you won't, because you did a great job with little details!) Quote
