That ebay auction for some sails doesn't include one of the big ones that you need....still might be a good deal to replace some other ones you already have and get a couple small ones you need though.

Yeah I know, but its the best I could find. :pir-grin:

Also, today is the day where I take apart the SES and clean it in a tub full of water. I'll be sure to take pictures. :pir-classic:

Great Job Lego12! Have fun with your restored ship! ;)

Thanks Neptune. I'll have loads of fun! :pir_laugh2:

Good job so far.

Some of the white pieces are really heavily yellowed though, i'd replace them with new(er) ones from BL i think.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting new ones from BL as well. I'll go order some right now!

Yeah, exactly what CGH said. And if you could get the sails that you DO have, cleaner and smoother (bad choice of words, but you know what I mean).

But certainly buy some BL white!!!

:pir-laugh: I know what you mean. I'm going iron my sails and wash them either this week or next week. You should be expecting pictures. :pir-sweet:

Wow! you did a great job! Its much better :pir_laugh2:

Thanks.....I get tired of saying "Thanks" all the time....... :pir-tongue:

I must admit you've done a nice job with the cleaning process, some pieces are yellowed as mentioned above and the sails need some work indeed.

Great job so far! You may clean my Lego too if you want... :pir_laugh2:

Thanks! I actually really enjoyed cleaning this set..........ok, I didn't.......... :pir-grin:

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but you can get a special type of cloth for your printer. You just stick it in your printer and your printer will print out whatever design you want. Now I know there are some SES sail scans on this website. You might want to try that. I have some of that cloth and it cost about $10 and it feels very similer to the cloth Lego uses for its ships. Again you might want to try that before you spend $50. P.S. the pictures of that ship when it is dirty just make me sick. :pir-sick:

Hey I am just wondering if the printer clothe idea worked. I am just curious because I am going to have some restoration projects coming up for me as well and I would like to know if it worked out for you. :pir-classic:
