neonovak Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hi Now I finally signed up. I´ve been reading this forum for some time now. So here is my first post. Name: Fredrik Place: I live in the middle of Sweden Age: 35 Work: At the LEGO Company in Sweden for almost 2 years Family: Wife and two kids – Neo 4Y and Viggo 3Y I played a lot with LEGO when I was a kid, so now when I got the job at TLC Sweden I found the LEGO in me again. Favourite themes: Castle, Star Wars, Indy, Pirates, the upcoming Space Police….and…well…I guess most of em. And also the new LEGO Games that I actually tried – all of em – they are much fun! And by the way – It´s me that You should blame for the “Metalized/Chrome Darth Vader” in Sweden – it was my idea and I created the campaign to actually offer 1.000 shoppers/consumers in Sweden that piece in December 2008. I knew what a great success the C-3PO were in the US last year, so I thought that we in tiny little Sweden should get some hot stuff too. So it was a local call from TLC Sweden. So now You know. If there are anything missing in this introduction that You would like to know - please let me know so I can fill it in. /Fredrik Quote
Natman8000 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hi and welcome! Is your avatar from space police? If so it looks like the official part image for it. Quote
legotrainfan Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hi and welcome! Is your avatar from space police? Dadster Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Welcome from a happy fan of Lego. Before Freddie, Jason, and Michael Myers I knew of only one villain. A villain so ruthless he choked an enemy guardian. A villain so cruel, he nearly snuffed the life of a subordinate. Both acts were committed within the first 30min!!!! Hail Lego Chromed Lord Vader!! Natman8000 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 ...I think his avatar shows Darth Vader.Fredrik, welcome to our wonderful community! I hope you enjoy all the LEGO discussions going on here! Shiznik, he changed it. It was one of the alien from space police before. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You know, I was wondering if the chrome Darth thing originated through something along those lines. The figure looks a little "purple" in some pics, but it's still dead awesome. Welcome to EB! (Man, sure are a lot of Lego employees here lol). Quote
Hinckley Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Welcome Fredrik. Glad to have you here as a member. Great job on the DV campaign. I just got out to Sweden last Summer to visit CopMike and Ras (and KimT, Aredhel and Morten) and I think Stockholm is my favorite place on Earth. But the whole of Sweden is a paradise in my eyes. Maybe I'll get a chance to say hello next time I come out. I got the opportunity to drive from Gothenburg to Stockholm, so perhaps I drove through your town... Quote

Freddie Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Whooo! Another scandinavian! Welcome, neonovak! It's nice to see the cousins in the west also start to wake from the slumber. Besides, I can't help that we from the north are a little bit underrepresented, with the exception being CopMike and Ras who are by far the most active scandinavians I know of. Quote
mechamike Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hej o Välkommen! The Chromie Vader was an exellent move, I got mine at Sagoland in Linköping and it sure was a nice gift to get. Sadly he moved to a new home in Germany but at least I got a Republic Gunship instead Did the pre-order concept work out as planned ? Will we see more pre order campains in the furture (with more goodies ) ?? /Mikael Quote
