BillytheKid Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) When you have starwars and Indiana Jones sets......... What's is actually wrong here, when you look at pic belong? Edited December 14, 2010 by AFOL12v Quote
Bricks Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Well I think Han Solo have an tan torso, isn't it? But what would you like to say with that. That they have same parts..? 'Bricks' Quote
Legoman31 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Han Solo doesn't have eye pupils, but TLC only recently started putting eye pupils on minifigs. Quote
meschepers Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I'm not sure what you're getting at with this topic. The title of the topic was misleading to me, I figured there'd be more than a photo and a question about what is wrong. No explanation? Well, Panda, what is wrong? Quote
Zzz Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 As much as I know a lot about Indy and SW as well as the Lego series, I really have no clue at all what you mean... Indy was never lying around in snow, Han was.....?? Quote
Oky Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) I think he might be referring to the fact how different the two figs look, even though they're both played by Harrison Ford in real life. Perhaps he thinks their faces should have looked more alike in terms of resembling the actor. But I think that would be kinda pointless, as it's the characters we're interested in, and for that, the figs look very good IMHO, especially Indy. Perhaps TLC could improve their Han Solo a bit. The version that we have now looks somewhat - how should I say - chubby due to the lack of detail, whereas Indy looks pretty much spot-on. Just my opinion. Mr Spielbrick Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Ghehe agreed Oky Wan, Han could use a facial makeover. As could Luke and Leia, if you ask me. Well maybe not Luke, but Leia and Han definitely. The Emperor, R2 and even old Ben got a facelift. Other than that... I'm not spotting the point of this topic either, really. Quote
BillytheKid Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 I was indeed refering that both characters were played by Harrison Ford. But they don't look like him, but that's another story. I collect also Harry Potter and have all double characters seperated, 2 same minifigs in one town.........doesn't fit in my opnion. But with Han Solo and Indy, I cannot.....although they are played through the same actor. Quote
LuxorV Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I was indeed refering that both characters were played by Harrison Ford. But with Han Solo and Indy, I cannot.....although they are played through the same actor. I was thinking the same thing some time ago, and I finally decided it has to do with Ford's experience. When he played Han Solo (at least in Ep. IV), he was new to the role of actor. In Indy he's more experienced, giving the character more personality (in Ep. V and VI, too) and so a more mature look . Sandy Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I agree, it's difficult to make minifigs look like real-life people, so it's better that they resemble the generic character instead. Han Solo doesn't have eye pupils, but TLC only recently started putting eye pupils on minifigs. You mean they added the light dots, right? Pupils are the black centers in the eye, the white circle is just a reflection of light. I collect also Harry Potter and have all double characters seperated, 2 same minifigs in one town.........doesn't fit in my opnion. That's exactly why I put different heads and hairpieces on the duplicates in my Harry Potter MOCs (well, the one that I've made so far), thus making them different characters altogether. But I also understand if you don't want any customs to your showcased sets. Quote
Omicron Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Han Solo fig is based on Han Solo. Indiana Jones fig is based on Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford did look different in both movies. That is like saying that the Satipo fid doesn't resemble the Doc Ock fig. -Omi Quote
Knightsword Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Whats ironic is, the Indy head makes for a near perfect (as close as a lego head can get) for Dash Randar, a.k.a. Han Solo wanna be from Shadows of the Empire. Quote

I have alot of duplicate figs, I just mix and match so as not to have duplicates. So what was wrong was that we had 2 Harrison Ford's in one picture.... Edited February 5, 2009 by Eilif Quote
RoflWafls Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Well, Satipo's head didn't look like Doctor Octopus, and German Mechanic doesn't look like the new Rock Crusher guy from the new Temple of Doom set being released soon. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I personally like the fact that TLC uses multiple heads for the same actor; anything that allows for more creative building is a good thing. Quote
Siegfried Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 That is like saying that the Satipo fid doesn't resemble the Doc Ock fig. Well he was a lot younger then! Quote
Derek Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I really am glad that they give different characters different heads, even if they are played by the same actor. How miserable would you all be if Indy had Han Solo's face? Quote
WookieeWarrior Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Well the Indy line is made to look more realistic, even if it is still stylized. I think the Indy minifig is the best one they've ever made, personally. Quote
Bricks Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I don't think you must look at the acter. Beause they must play different charakters with different looks. So why shouldn't have Indy an other face than Solo? Greetings 'Bricks' Quote
