The battle pack thread showed the old minifg packs and got me thinking how many Redbeards I have. Wondered if you all have the same issue, more Redbeards than any other one pirate type. I have 11 or 12.

I have six, but I changed them a bit to fit in with the army. Their my engineers.

I've got 6 of him. It's a pretty useless torso/minifig for me to have multiples of (saw it used with a morion in an army once, which looked pretty good, but I don't have enough morion helmets to go around for both my "spanish" soldiers and my redbeards).

The most represented pirate in my collection/"army" is the black/red striped one, got 14 of him, redbeard is definately not outnumbering all my other pirates (got more of all the 3 types of pirates with a striped shirt and more of the pirate with blue vest with striped shirt underneath (with brown tricorne)+ more redcoats and bluecoats ofcourse). I count my minifigs by torso, not which official minifig combinations I have/could make.

ABout 50, 40 of them are used as a Landwehr unit into my Napoleonic Army, I count them by torso as well.

They are still quite cheap...so great for armybuilding IMO!

I have 5 RedBeards. I also have 1 RedBeard keychain that I got from LegoLand in 2006.

HE does come with the hook and a peg leg which are excellent Pirte accesories. He also has the Bi-Corner hat. So he is a good one to have for those pieces.

Too bloody many! I haven't counted but I'd say over 25.

Redbeard seems to be the most saturated Pirate mini-figure and 1994 was the only year he didn't appear in any new sets, so no wonder there is so many of him!

This thread is making me rather sad, as I do not have any Redbeards at all (I was just a little too young for the first round of Pirates). I guess my pirate army is less army and more leaderless mob. (Oh well, they still give the Imperials a run for their money.)

I got one, from 6273 Rock Island Refuge.

But I'm planning to get a couple of more from bricklink. I'm going to use them as Russian soldiers in an upcoming MOC.

Actually the quantity I have made it possible for me to make my Spanish troops using Redbeard torsos:

All these torsos (10 as you can see) have been taken from complete Rebeard minifigs, and I got maybe 1 or 2 more after taking that picture. :pir_laugh2:

If only I had as many Broadsides or Woodhouses. :pir-cry_sad:

I like the look of your Conquistadors. I never would have thought to use an Adventurers torso for Pirate-era troops.
