So, sometimes while sorting my parts or just plain building, I find strange things in it every now and then. Have any of you found this?

Example - A bit of dried up toothpaste. Seems dental hygiene and my old bad habit of prying plates apart with my teeth don't mix.

my cousin spilled chocolate syrup on some of my bricks when he borrowed them (he also lost some pieces(i hate parental and relative pressure)) so their still like that. its just that i dont want to clean them

Well......I've seen....some pretty wierd things, but the wierdest has to be my hamster..... ....he somehow managed to get into my Lego box, luckily it was only 3 hours and during that time he didn't take a crap or pee. :cry_happy: He's dead now, though. :cry_sad:

Just the occasional stray part - a technic pin not removed from a brick, a small plate or modified plate escaping on a brick, the odd small part spilt from one drawer to the one below.

However, my sorted collection is only about 1.5 years old.

The strangest things I find are old toys of mine that got mixed in with everything when my brother and I had to clean our room. I occasionally find things like replica doubloons and coins mixed in but it is mostly just action figures and other random toys of the 80s.

I've found bits of old Crayon in my Lego bin before. Sometimes a pen cap or a rubber band will find their way in there as well.

Well, just finished sorting half my collection. The following were found.

Clone bricks by the ice cream container!

Nails, Bubble gum, key chains. a drawing compass, mobile phone cover, metal toy cars, various other construction toy bits. Paper, bus ticket, promotional movie pass from 1999. ect.

Please note most of this came from collections I have recently acquired... I am still working on getting off al the bubble gum on some of the bits.

I'm happy to say that I've never seen the likes of this thread in my collection, but that's probably because I'm sort of a neat freak.

However, I did fin my fair share of things in my cousin's LEGO box once...

First, there had to be a gallon of dry rice in there. That was bizzare.

About 15 pennies.

Lollipop and other candy wrappers.

Some clone brands.

Dust and other various undesirable particles.

Marbles.

A bunch of other stuff that I can't remember.

It was a bit sad to see all of the junk mixed with our favorite plastic brick.

I normally find random pieces of paper and pens. The stangest thing I ever found was a lego Bob the Builder once. I am pretty sure it was my youger brother's. No idea how it got in their though. This was about 4 years ago though.

I found one of those plastic hands with gore on the end. It REALLY freaked me out (I jumped like hell and ran to the door) when I saw it but then I realized it was fake.

A beyblade, this mew burger king toy with light up eyes and 3 40k imperial guard models.

I'm ashamed to admit, during my dark ages my box of Lego was more used to dump things to give the impression I'd cleaned my room.

Zoid spares that are supposed to live in an old Slizer case and sometimes ping out into my mixed box, micro scale cars and once my missing action figure hand from my Square Enix play arts CLoud action figure, the box flipped over and catapulted the interchangeable hands over my lego.

When I helped my dad sort my brothers lego I found bayblades and happy meal toys.
