Posted February 7, 200916 yr Hi everybody! I tried to follow tips pr0visorak gave me... So, here is another old Star Wars set review! Set Name: Imperial Shuttle Set Number: 7166 Year of release: 2001 Price: unknown ('cause it is no longer sold by Lego and 'cause I don't know the original price) Parts: 234 Minifigures: Emperor Palpatine, 2 Imperial Royal Guards & an Imperial Shuttle Pilot Stickers: none Instruction Book (48 pages): Front: Back: First page: Last pages: Figurines: Box: Front: Back: Building: Base: Cockpit: Wings: Upper part: Spaceship: And after some painting: Main Colors: white and light grey. Accurancy: not bad. Build: 8/10 (easy, fun, 20 mn) Playability: 10/10 (Very funny to play with it / moreover, it is sturdy) Set functions: 9/10 (wings can flap, hold, figurines, ...) Design: 9/10 (very good, central part a bit too much massive...) Overall: 9/10 Good set, even huge when wings are spread ^^ Thanks for reading, Bye! Edited February 12, 200916 yr by KimT
February 7, 200916 yr Thank you for reviewing it it is a good set with great minifigs. The imperial guards are part of my top list minifigs. Nevertheless, I always though this set was too small and a little bit inaccurate because the ramp for the emperor must come under the cockpit (which lacks of details in the set). I think TLC is able to make a better imperial shuttle, but it needs to be far bigger. I hope we will get one day a UCS Imperial shuttle which would be scaled to the minifigs (like the UCS Millenium Falcon).
February 7, 200916 yr Nice review, this is definitely a good old set. I would just suggest covering up the backround, the wood is fine for a white set, but the random stuff poking in distracts you a little bit. Still nice review, and welcome to eurobrick!! jifel
February 7, 200916 yr Nice review This is actually one of my favorite sets, even though I don't own it But I still have one question, Is that design right above the cockpit a sticker? Just wondering.
February 7, 200916 yr Nice review of an old set... shame that it's way before the time I started collecting

No it isn't. this set is from the good ol' days when print was still an ecomic possibility. And thanks for the review ybeline Personally I think this is a set that could be updated by TLG. I know we also had the imperial inspection but that ship is the same besides two or three parts.
February 12, 200916 yr Indexed and poll added. Great review with some super pics. Thanks for reviewing this one for us.
February 13, 200916 yr Nice step by step building pics. Coincidentally, I dug this set out and built it a couple of weeks ago. For some reason it's one of my favourites - I think I just like the shape of it and the way the wings fold. Plus the transparent turquoise tiles on the underside of the ramp ! I don't think there were any stickers - everything was printed. I also vote for a minifig-scale UCS version ! Dr. D.
February 13, 200916 yr I voted Above Average because well it wasn't the best review in the world but quite a good one

February 13, 200916 yr I got the Imperial Inspection set that came out a few years later, but not this.' It was a great set, and it's probably the same shuttle, but the new one featured some other things, like the little platform with a station. Anyway, Palpatine went down in his shuttle awhile ago, when it fell from a very large height...He escaped though, only to be killed by Darth Vader on the Death Star 2.
February 13, 200916 yr Its alright, but I wouldn't buy it. Good review! Edited February 13, 200916 yr by Broadside
