There's really a lot open to what could be in the home one. For all we know it could be a giant mini with enough room for Ackbar and a single Rebel!

I hope it will be like the venator's size, with Ackbar, another alien like Ackbar, 2 rebels and a pilot.

Maybe, but I doubt they'll put any no-name aliens in. Well get Ackbar for sure, some rebels, and a pilot, maybe Mon Mothma, but no one who wasn't in any of the movies (although it would be nice to have a couple of Ackbar-style heads).

I don't know, they may put another Mon Calamari warrior or something in if they are making a new mold. I don't think they would be able to use it much elsewhere :sceptic:

If they include Mon Mothma, she could use the new Castle Queen/Leia hairpiece in dark orange. :cry_happy:

Well a long time ago there was a chat with the design team on FBTB.net where all the participants express what they want and in the end the designers got something like this:

Minifigs:

- Ackbar

- Mon Mothma

- Crix Madine

- Mon Cal Soldier/Officer

- Rebel Pilots/Crew

- Endor Rebel Troopers

Also they comment that maybe a full ship with a little interior with some mini ships around it would be the best option :cry_happy: .

That would be something, but its unlikely to happen. You`ve named off some obscure characters there, and lego needs to appeal to a wide audience with a set. A set like that would need a whole bunch of new molds and would probably only sell well with AFOLs and hardcore SW fans.

On the subject of the Snail Tank, I can see how a lot of people hate it, because the actual thing is supposed to have it's "eyes" hanging from poles that come from behind the discs, but this one has short stubby cylinders up close. That's the way the Clone Wars does it. I hope in the new Snail Tank, they still have the old feature where you can push back the discs and there's a control panel for a B1, even though it's unnecessary and non-canon, it's still cool.

Some models actually have battle droids piloting the tank, especially during the Clone Wars, so there's a chance.

In real life, it should be 3 times the size of a Venator. I would be si happy if LEgo did a UCS minifig ship that was huge. But lego is more interested in detail at that scale.

Check this MOC of someone out: Mon Cal moc I can already see how this set's going to end up..

I wonder what the percentage is in buying terms, I mean sure sets these days have things like flick fire missiles, but then most are not kid friendly, take the R.A.G/LAAT, its rather fragile, and so is the Rouge Shadow.

We already got rather rare and unknown minifig making a new mod necessary. For exemple, Greedo is not very famous for a no hardcore StarWars fan but he had his minifig in 2004 because he is rather cool and kids like aliens. The Bounty Hunters we get with the slave 1 are only one minute at screen but once more, they added a lot of playability.

So I think we can get these minifigs not because they are famous but because they add a lot of playability.

Nevertheless, I think Home One wil rather come with Ackbar, Luke (Endor version), Endor rebel troopers, a rebel pilot and a rebel tech.

Who's obscure there? I can maybe see an argument for Madine. I mean, he only gave part of the briefing before the attack on the second Death Star and was mentioned by name. Who is he compared to the white 3PO unit in the Hoth set? They make obscure things. The White 3P0 and the black 3P0 come to mind along with the TIE Crawler and Imperial Landing Craft (seen for roughly a few seconds in the special edition of ANH). If blurry pictures are being correctly deciphered, we are likely getting a Rodian character with low exposure from the Clone Wars cartoon (was he even in more than one episode?). Mon Mothma is only the leader of the Rebellion, so maybe she's too obscure? Of course she was in 2 of the movies, had lines, and was mentioned by name. Compared to some characters that have been made (the 2 droids I mentioned, arguably Greedo, IG-no lines or name in movies-88, Dengar, Lobot, etc), these people are big stars. I see no reason why either one wouldn't be included. They are both human, so no new mold though they would need new head and torso prints. That isn't a terrible thing with Madine as his can be used for other Rebel officers. And you can't possibly mean Ackbar. He has T shirts with his most famous line and his picture on them. He's known. We know we're getting Endor troops, so nothing new mold related there. Pilots/crew are nothing new. Random Mon Cal bridge crew would make sense to get mileage out of the new head mold for Ackbar (and hopefully pave the way for other Mon Cal figures). So what isn't going to appeal to people and what is obscure on that list?

You've made the best point on this forum i've ever seen!

they might also have a chance to use the ackbar head during the clone wars during something such as the battle of mon calamari.

I doubt we'll see pics of it until may so we won't know for a while :hmpf_bad:

I mostly meant Madine.

Is dookus solar sailor a s@h exclusive or a toyrs r us exlusive. Or is it a different one. I dont know. But I want it.

Well like Tyrant pointed out I think this characters could really well be included :classic: . Just look how many other chracters had come out and that are totally less important than this characters. I think the kids will mainly look at it as what it is, a Battleship! I know the TLC will included flick-fire and many feautures like that to make the ship appeal to the kids. And after all this set is from the "Fans´ Choice Poll" so I think this is a set more intended for the AFOLs and fans than a wide audience  .

Well, it came out to ToysRus first, ubt it's on Amazon.com. But I think it's a ToysRus exclusive though.

It would actually only be like 20 feet, or about 6 inches minifig scale, longer than the Venator. The Venator is about 1/4 bigger than the ISD, and 2 ISD's are the same length as Home One.

Did I say 20 feet? I meant 120.

It's a TRU exclusive, but that means you can still get it from LEGO stores and S@H. :classic:

Hmm, I was pretty sure that the Venator was 1137 meters and the Imperial-class was about 1600 meters, but oh well.

Anyway, the chance of LEGO making the Home One to scale with the ISD playset is close to zero if you ask me.

You're right. Whoops. But I think if it's not just the hangar, it might not be to scale, but match up with the ISD.

This is from Empire at War 2, which is terrible at scaling. Home One should be slightly longer than the 2 ISD lengths. (In Empire at War 1, it actually was the size of just one ISD).

There is no way that they will make the Home One in good scale. Unless were talking millennium falcon size UCS! But still that is unlikely. I doubt the home one would be the next large UCS.

it is a toysrus exclusive but avlalible in lego stores and on the lego website.
