February 7, 200916 yr I stand corrected. 12 minifigs. Weird, the old page scan said 11. Then again, this proves that every picture there is years old. Including the box [pictures at the last toyfair. So I have an announcement to make: All people who still think that the box pictures from the Canadian toyfair have the final product, it's not true. In fact, the box pictures there are 100% different from the final product, and they're older than the old pictures we have! There is no mistaking, so it's likely both CW troopers have jetpacks, and the jetpacks aren't square, that the Endor Rebels do have new helmets and not weird torso's, Leia has different hair etc. The reliable toyfair is a week and a day away!
February 7, 200916 yr Is there anyway to find out which sets were rumoured for 2008, and which then were actually released.
February 7, 200916 yr Is there anyway to find out which sets were rumoured for 2008, and which then were actually released. Well I can tell you from my own experience. The summer sets: -Were rumored in autumn 2007. -First prelim. pictures were taken in January 2008. -In February 2008, we got the Toy Fair pictures -I think in May we got the first pictures of 7680/7681 -And in July we got the official S@H pictures -The first summer sets released on 26th of July -The rest released in August 2008 Greetings 'Bricks'
February 7, 200916 yr Thanks, was kind of hoping to gain insight into how many actually made it, get a rough idea of how many of this year will make it.
February 7, 200916 yr Author Thanks, was kind of hoping to gain insight into how many actually made it, get a rough idea of how many of this year will make it. There's a link in the first post of this topic to the 2008 Picture and rumor topic. Read away
February 7, 200916 yr Hi, today I visited the german Toyfair in Nuernberg. I was quite excited when I entered the LEGO place, but confused when I saw only 50% of the announced new Star Wars Sets. I found out: R2D2 has different printings for Clone Wars Y-wing ("new" minifig), so we now have three versions of R2D2: the old one, the new one with grey head and the CW version The Y-wing will have the trans clear bubble (above Ahsoka as a cockpit) and the front cockpit will have yellow printings 8039 Venator will cost about 149,99€ and is an exclusive for Kaufhof in Germany (don't know who will get it in other countries) The Clones in the Tank Droid Set will both have a jetpack, new design The chrome black Darth Vader will be a giveaway for Kaufhof/ Toys R Us for Summer releases Nute Gunray will get a new mold for his headpiece Endor is just beautiful!! You can push the radar dishes on the top and all walls will "explode" and fall off. The AT-ST has a walking function and can turn his head. The Endor rebels will have excellent torsos with detailed printing. Also, they will get new molds for their helmets (with printed visor on the top). Thats it for Star Wars, all other sets weren't there.. greetings Hendrik
February 7, 200916 yr Thanks for so much information, especially for the Germans ! Well, the Venator is a bit overprised. Because we get just 5 figures, but thats the price I though. And great to see, that the Tank have two Jet-troopers, so again thanks for sharing! Greetings 'Bricks'
February 7, 200916 yr Thank you for the informations ! I hope Toysrus will also get some Chrome Vader to give away in France. The Endor set seems really awesome like you descripted, with a lot of playability for young builders and a lot of details for collection.
February 7, 200916 yr I forgot to tell: Leia has a new hair piece, the ewoks have printed faces and small decorations on the top of their heads. Han Solo will be the one from the existing sets MF 10179 and DS 10188. One more thing: it will definetely be Nute Gunray and not the other guy we speculated about. The "final" box designclearly says Nute Gunray. greetings Hendrik PS: The city sets AND Indiana Jones are just .....YEAH!!!!!!! nice!!
February 7, 200916 yr The Endor rebels will have excellent torsos with detailed printing. Also, they will get new molds for their helmets (with printed visor on the top). Yay! Edited February 7, 200916 yr by Lt. Veers
February 7, 200916 yr You can´t convert the prices, you must compare them with sets of the same price on S@H, but I have done that already so the prices may be... Much better. I'll do that next time. I can't wait to try it for myself.

February 7, 200916 yr Thanks so much.... but I HAVE to know! Does the Venator have open circle fleet symbols or not???? Why the hell does it matter? At worst u can just buy the symbol off bricklink and stick it on the set.
February 7, 200916 yr Thanks so much.... but I HAVE to know! Does the Venator have open circle fleet symbols or not???? Yes, it does have the stickers. And a small interior! You can open it on both sides at the front an at the back of the ship!

February 7, 200916 yr Thanks for sharing Sir von Lego R2D2 has different printings for Clone Wars Y-wing ("new" minifig), so we now have three versions of R2D2: the old one, the new one with grey head and the CW version A new R2-D2 that's cool, so I'm not just buying this set because I collect it... The Clones in the Tank Droid Set will both have a jetpack, new design Finally there's an end to that discussion Endor is just beautiful!! You can push the radar dishes on the top and all walls will "explode" and fall off. The AT-ST has a walking function and can turn his head. The Endor rebels will have excellent torsos with detailed printing. Also, they will get new molds for their helmets (with printed visor on the top). Cant wait for the Endor set... this is a definite MUST BUY One more thing: it will definetely be Nute Gunray and not the other guy we speculated about. The "final" box designclearly says Nute Gunray. Another discussion ended... I never doubted it would be Nute Gunray. And now waiting for the first pictures...
February 7, 200916 yr And now waiting for the first pictures... I am so sorry but you weren't allowde to take pictures at the toyfair in the room of LEGO, so I don't have any pictures. But I got the retailers catalogue...but these pics in the catalogue are very prelim and not correct to the actual sets. greetings Hendrik
February 8, 200916 yr Gee these sets have turned out to be better than ever. I think the first set I'll buy will be Hoth or the Tank Droid. Well in a week (give or take a couple of days) we'll have our pics
February 8, 200916 yr Thanks for clearing everything up, Sir Von Lego. All the sets sound fantastic. Its a shame you couldn't get any pics but by your description the sets were a lot more "final"
February 8, 200916 yr Thanks for these informations! All sounds great!!! I'll buy at least two of those Endor playset!
February 8, 200916 yr Sorry for the outburst, but OPEN CIRCLE FLEET SYMBOLS! I am in love! I was right too! I guess that means no escape pod though. Also two jetpacks for the Tank Droid.
February 8, 200916 yr I guess that means no escape pod though. This is actually a plus for me, since there will be a lot more interior room without it. In the ISD, the escape pod and the docking bay took up over half the ship. But maybe some turrets will take the pod's place...
