DarthSion Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Yeah lets hope, yeah well Australia doesn't have the shops, just lego educational centres. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for these pics, AoNZ and PDQaq! The Silvern Stormtrooper Magnet is simply awesome! I hope that it'll be available in Germany, too, and even still in September when I'm going to buy Home One, the Stromtrooper Magnet set, the Wind Turbine Transport and perhaps the Tantive 4 (if it appeals to me). And I hope that it isn't more than 15 Euros. The Dark Side Magnet set is really bad since it mixes up FU with OT! Why didn't they release one for FU (with battle-damaged Vader, Shadow Trooper and another minifigure such like e. g. Juno Eclipse) and one for OT (with Snow Trooper, DS Trooper and an Imperial Officer)?! Klaus-Dieter Edited June 9, 2009 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

Millacol88 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I really hope this finds its way to the Canadian S@H. Probably getting a chrome vader off ebay and this on S@H, hopefully. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) Um no, its a TFU set, snow and shadow troopers were in TFU, Thanks for clarifying that, DarthSion! Ok, then it's a FU set. But why do we OT fans then not get any OT magnet set with Darth Vader (which now appears in a PT and in a FU magnet set but in no OT magnet set ) and Luke (who seems to be on big holidays this year )?! KimT Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 Um no, its a TFU set, snow and shadow troopers were in TFU, Good point DarthSion. I know nothing of the TFU part of Star Wars, so it's always good to have someone that does I think we can safely say that our first name for that magnet set "Dark Side" isn't really good enough It ought to be The Force Unleashed magnet set. Thanks for clarifying that. Quote
DarthSion Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Yeah your welcome mate, to be fair though, you don't actually fight snowstormies, you just see them shooting when they find "the rebels" on the ice planet. The Shadow you do actually fight against them in the Empirical and Imperial controlled Kashyyyk, and Bespen. If you want more info on Shadow. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Shadow_stormtrooper As for the name, perhaps there will be another set, maybe Starkiller Emperor and Juno, or maybe Starkiller Emeror and Purgetrooper which will be given TFU name, to be fair, they are all on the darkside, so it is apt. Personally i think this is the best lego "set" this year, its about time they embraced the EU. I don't see whats to complain about OT. Quote
DarthSion Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) Forgive me if its been posted, i have looked but not see it in this thread, or one of the others, but i was just looking at S@H, just for the hell of it picked USA region, and in the accessories, i noticed a Jango, Maul, Luke and tuskin pen. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=472&d=322 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=472&d=322 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=472&d=322 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=472&d=322 I also see there is a chrome stormie on USA ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lego-Star-Wars-SILVER-...606145004r29003 Edited June 9, 2009 by DarthSion Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 But why do we OT fans then not get any OT magnet set with Darth Vader (which now appears in a PT and in a FU magnet set but in no OT magnet set ) and Luke (who seems to be on big holidays this year )?! The ROTS magnetset consists of Chewbacca, Vader and Obi-Wan (ROTS printing), so two third of the set are OT. Also, it wouldn´t make much sense to include the same fig in two magnetsets at the same time. But I am not happy with this set. I hope that they will release another magnetset with Palpi and Senate Commandos in the near future. Quote
Corvus Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Wow, that's nice. I hope it finds its way to S@H or something, and not stay in the Legoland store. Quote
DarthSion Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 $13 for one minifigure?! Chrome, and special anniversary, besides have you looked on ebay for the normal stormies by them-self. Quote
KimT Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 Chrome, and special anniversary, besides have you looked on ebay for the normal stormies by them-self. Agreed. 13 USD sounds more than fair to me. Let's not turn this into a rant on pricing people. Remember that noones forcing you to buy LEGO I agree with DarthSion on this one. Quote
jansued Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Hi! Today I got my Pirate Tank 7753. Review will follow, but its a nice set.... Jan Quote
-JD- Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 These new things are must buys! I mean, a chrome stormtrooper?! A magnet set with battle damaged DV?! I love LEGO! It's a shame the chrome stormie didn't come with a chrome black head. Greetings, JD Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Having seen the lovely chrome silver stormtrooper magnet I now had an idea: Do you think that there'll be a chrome gold C-3PO included in the Tantive 4? Or a chrome silver ...-3PO (like seen in the same scene when the Tantive 4 is attacked by the stormies)? Perhaps that's too far - but nevertheless a thought. Klaus-Dieter Quote
RileyC Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 yay cant wait for the pirate tank review jansued! 13USD doesnt sound overpriced at all its rather fitting to the product Quote
AoNZ Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Hi!Today I got my Pirate Tank 7753. Review will follow, but its a nice set.... Jan Can't wait for the review I want to get this set if the price is reasonable. Quote
The Rancor Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) edit: Sorry nope not the right place. Keep comments on availability in the right topic please. I don't mean to come of harsh, but I am getting tired of comments on S@H availability in this topic. Post it in the "Star Wars Sets Anyone?" topic on such matters. If in doubt on where to post what, then check the Star Wars Forum Index. Edited June 9, 2009 by KimT Quote

A metallic silver 3PO droid (like IG-88) shouldn´t be a problem. But shiny chrome colors are a little too "wish". Quote
JimBee Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009  Amazing! Fantastic! Wonderful! I love it, and I must have just missed it when I went to the Lego store in Shaumberg (near Chicago) on Sunday. I just hope it is the same quality as C-23PO and Vader. I'd hate to pay for a chromie Stormie that has the chrome coming off after a few days. True, and this theory is backed up by the fact that it's only (compared to the other chromes) 12 USD. That other magnet set isn't that great of value, IMO. The Snowtroopers and Shadowtroopers are now common thanks to the Hoth set and battlepacks, and I never really liked the battle-damaged Vader much. Not one of the best, that's for sure. Quote
Derek Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 True, and this theory is backed up by the fact that it's only (compared to the other chromes) 12 USD. Sure, the others may be expensive on the re-sale market, but that is because of rarity, not quality. This magnet we are actually paying for. The other chromes are freebies from Lego. I'm willing to bet that they use the same chroming process for this Stormie as they do the others, but I would figure that they would have higher quality for a product that they are actually charging for. Bob Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Meanwhile, at the Lego HQ... Lord Vader: What of the news of Bob's wallet massing more money?Emperor: It is of no concern. Soon Bob's wallet will be crushed and all the money will go to us. Your work here is finished my friend, go out to the Lego Stores and await further command. Lord Vader: As you wish, my master. All of these sets look amazing, and they just keep coming...Can't wait for that Pirate Tank Review! Quote
