Man I really have to get it, will it be in Holland/Europe too? And the price?

Luke + Yavin 4 + Lego = AWESOME :cry_happy:

You can get the US version from british/ french/ or german Amazon - about 17 Euros at this moment. There seems to be also a GERMAN version of it, that will include Luke as well. 15 € for that one.

This is great! I love that Luke figure. I can't wait until the first of October! :sweet:

: That would also be a reminder of Short Round and Mutt standing beside each other in the same episode in a certain 'Invasion' entry.

Nerdiness off.

Oh, come on. The contest said for a lego THEME invasion, so any character within that theme could be included. The entry itself did not have to make logical sense within the actual series timeline, just within the lego theme. :hmpf: ( ).

On a slightly more on topic post. I love this minifigure. It was my deciding factor on whether or not to buy this book, and now I think that I will. I bet lego will try to put him in a set next year, too (Maybe with an awards ceremony Han and Leia, too  ).

I know, I know. At least you didn't put Marion and Willie there.

Anyway, wasn't Han wearing his regular vest, but just with a ribbon on it? And what was Leia wearing?

Yes, Han had a ribbon.

Leia was wearing this:

instead of this:

Overall, it's just a little more low cut, and she has a necklace.

So Leia basically had a little more cleavage showing, a necklace, and a different hairstyle.

Ugh... I'm not too sure about the minifig. :sceptic: I've never liked the fleshie-tan hair color mix with Luke, and doubly so with the girl hair. Oh well...

Great Yavin Luke and a smart choice. It isn't a figure that anyone is likely to want desperately, so put it in with with book and it should do well. Personally, I would have bought it by itself, anyway.

I'm guessing C3P0, R2D2, Leia and perhaps a rebel and a stormie :hmpf:

Let's just hope we get a Captain Antilles. It would be so easy... one of the stock fleshie heads, the same helmet as the trooper, just a new torso. Oh please Mr. LEGO, please.

That's what we said about you, Mandy Lori Ann.

Anyone who pre-ordered this on Amazon some time ago should perhaps check their inboxes to ensure that Amazon haven't cancelled their orders. On my return from the Gunzburg event I discovered that Amazon had emailed me to cancel my order. As the item was still showing up as available I simply reordered it and so far so good.

I think that you said the opposite of what darthperson said.

He said that the chrome stormtroopers are probably higher quality, not the free chrome figures.

No idea. I just have a hard time believing that TLG would produce quality chrome parts like that.

Thanks for the news and pic, NTF. I'm not all to excited for the figure or book. I suppose the Yavin IV Luke is good, but I'm not about to buy a book online for it, especially since I probably already know everything in that book. Hopefully we'll see the minifig in a future set.

It's not exactly flesh colored, but I see your point. It ought to be useful for some figures, though, right?

Whoops. Edited...

Fleshie minifigs are fine by themselves, but I like classic yellow, and they just don't blend in. Luke's face in fleshie, combined with tan hair, just looks wierd to me.

I must say that I'm not so excited about this Luke figure either. :sceptic: Don't get me wrong; it's a nice figure... but only for collectors. I mean, the fig isn't very reusable for anything other than in recreations of the ceremony scene (except maybe for making a Mr. Lovegood fig as Matn suggested  ).

I'm not so sure if I will get this book now. I will have to wait for a review to decide.

However, I do like that Dark Side magnet set! One can never have enough Shadow- and Snowtroopers, and getting the rare battle-damaged DV with it is the icing on the cake! This is the one magnet set I am really considering to get.

The new Luke is pretty impressive. I really like the amount of detail on the torso. I am glad they decided to create a new and unique figure to include that we probably wouldn't have a chance to get otherwise.

I seem to have missed some great stuff. Chrome stormie sounds good other than the price  I must also purchase that book, even if only for my first fleshie luke. This Tantive set sounds grand as well, praying for an Antilles and red shirted fleet trooper...

I do think that the new luke minifig is awesome but it doesnt convince me to buy the book. However if they did have han and leia in the set it would be a must

Don't be

Is it necessary, that you comment anything with arrogance? I know , thats off-topic.. But it has to say.

I did and mine is fine

Strange, the US Amazon site doesn't have the new picture up yet. It's still the old cover. :sceptic:

Amazon.co.uk doesn't have the pic either. But does show links to both versions of the book.

And i am glad they put in Luke in this. Leia might be made from another torso and Han isn't that diffrent. So bring on the MOC's. Somewhere in October that is.

If anyone's interested, a hi-res pic of the front of the old cover is here: http://www.penguin.com.au/jpg-large/9781405347471.jpg

And there's also a big pic of the front of The LEGO Book: http://www.penguin.com.au/jpg-large/9781405341691.jpg

As much as I like the idea of a LEGO Star Wars book, I really dislike the fact that it will be filled with DK-style annotations, which usually state the obvious and sound really <insert that tiresome argument>.

I don't really think he was being arrogant. He just was saying he doesn't expect any exciting new figures....

I actually thought that in the picture his hair looks like the color of banana lifesavers. (of course I know it will be the same hair as in the Millenium Falcon and Death Star).

the 'Library edition' (not sure what the difference is yet) on Amazon.co.uk.

The answer is a version without the minifig, and was posted several pages back.

I don't know where you saw that. I couldn't see anything about that in the page between my post and the first pic.

Why is it more expensive then?
