Bricks Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Yeah, TLC has to design lego versions of Star Wars Vehicles probably not the other way around. Agree! Why should Lucasarts just make their vehicles ''Lego friendly''...? And besides with LEGO you can build everything. So no fear... 'Bricks' Quote
ADHO15 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I noticed something in this week's edition of The Clone Wars, Storm Over Ryloth. The alternate sticker for the Republic Dropship in set 10195 (see pic), can be seen on a gunship in the background during a hangar scene (see 6:51 on this video). I noticed this when watching the episode and thought I'd share it with you guys. Quote
ILikePi Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Nice find! Maybe you should also post that in the How did you like the Clone Wars TV series? forum. Edited March 1, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
Darth Legolas Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 All of the stickers TLG uses for the LAAT series ships are in the official CW TV series somewhere. We've seen the Crumb Bomber, Lucky Lekku, BD head ripoff, angry snow beast thing (It's not a Wampa, is it?), and customs of the Green twi'lek girl and orange twi'lek girl with some sort of helmet. You are correct. And it is a Wampa. Quote
halomaster96 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Are there any other sets we are waiting for? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Are there any other sets we are waiting for? What do you mean? Do you mean any other sets besides those at Toy Fair and the Pirate Tank and Mid-Scale MF? Those are all the confirmed sets currently awaited. I suppose eventually rumor lists for Jan 2010 will start coming, but it is too soon for that now. Quote

qweeee4 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 From what I have heard from a VERY reliable souce is that a new set is comming out with Captain Rex but it is cheaper than the AT-TE Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 From what I have heard from a VERY reliable souce is that a new set is comming out with Captain Rex but it is cheaper than the AT-TE Reeallly? We need some good confirmation to beleive this but if it is true, hooray! Quote
ADHO15 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 From what I have heard from a VERY reliable souce is that a new set is comming out with Captain Rex but it is cheaper than the AT-TE You'll understand if we don't, at first, believe a vassal with three posts who gives big, possibly important news, without proof, a named source or a named set. Quote
Bricks Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 So what is your reliable source? And I'm sure, we know most of the upcooming sets (except the porspective Comic Con exklusive). So I don't think you get an information about the spring 2010 sets... ~Ohh I know what you mean an magnet set ~ 'Bricks' Quote
Darth Legolas Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) Are you sure you aren't thinking of this? Oh wait... this is a trillion dollars more, since it's exclusive. I don't believe this guy. In fact, my gullibility has left the building ever since I accidentally clicked Legoman1's gross link. Edited March 2, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) I don't think he did but that could be a possibility. I think instead of putting in the same commanders they should have more sets with new ones like gree and bly. Then again rex is in almost every episode. I don't believe this guy. In fact, my gullibility has left the building ever since I accidentally clicked Legoman1's gross link. default_sick.gif I know. Those fake things are getting so annoying and common. Bonaparte said their working on it though. One of them actually threatened my account so if I do something very wierd, dont ban me! (seriously) Edited March 2, 2009 by Natman8000 Quote
halomaster96 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) Didn't we have a rumor about a tri-droid with Captain Rex? Darth Legolas: That set is not a trillion dollars more, I bought it for the same price as the at-te. Edited March 2, 2009 by halomaster96 Quote
Derek Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Didn't we have a rumor about a tri-droid with Captain Rex? Now that you mention it, I remember someone said something about it for the January wave. It would make a great exclusive ($20-30-ish would be nice, there are way too many higher priced sets than the smaller ones ) Who knows, maybe they will make it a $50 set and have it the Target exclusive this year. My only (minor) complaint would be that it seems that there are way too many cheap Separatist based sets and way too many expensive Republic based sets. I wish they would come out with some smaller Republic ships, as it seems that all of the cheap sets are based on the droid army (Hailfire droid, Homing Spider Droid, Droid Gunship, Hyena Bomber etc.) I definitely think there should be some balance, price AND size wise. Anyone else agree with me? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I completely agree that we need some more small Republic sets/vehicles. The cheapest real republic vehicle we've got is the TX-130s, and that was $50 and only had two regular clones! We definitely need to start seeing some smaller Clone vehicles to pit against all the droid forces. Quote
Darth Skinyus Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 THe only small vehicals for the Republic are the AT-RT and the ISP. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) I really do think a Tri-Droid is necessary, but it's not all of a sudden going to happen because some vassal with no proof says there's one more set to come out. But I'm sure eventually Lego will make one since it's more important and frequently seen than the darn Tank Droid! Edited March 3, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote

I think they'd make a republic set before this. As said before there are too many different smaller separatist vehicles. I know this isnt small but a republic cruiser would be nice. Not the one from TPM. Quote

The tank droid is a good set ( except for that random clone launcher ) but a tri-droid is bound to be released. Quote
Ruin Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 With all these huge Republic Ships, we haven't really gotten anything big on the Separatist side to compete. The MTT was the last large ground vehicle for them, so I would love to see a Tri-Droid even, although we may have to wait. Not to go on and rant but most of the Droid ships seem miniaturized on a larger basis then the Clone vehicles minus the AAT. Just look at the Tank Droid and Shuttle. :\ Oh well.. But anyway, I am really looking forward to the 30th. Hopefully this set will have room on my shelf. Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I asked the guy who said that rex would be in a set and he told me he asked a lego employee. Still a bit unsure though. The freeco speeder or whatever would make a great small set for the theme. Quote
darkrebellion Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 In my opinion the Tri-droid is one of those vehicles that deserve to be recreated in lego form and I think the TLC will give us this one pretty soon (After all it IS an important vehicle in the CW). Some cheap Republic sets could be great but I prefer by far a Tri-droid than any other Republic small vehicle. It is the same in the CW cartoon if you look carfully you will note that the Republic have a FEW big ships while the CIS have TONS of small ships. This set could be especially great and outstanding in the SW line . I hope this is real because if it is then this will be at the top of my buy-list . Quote
ILikePi Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) I don't believe this guy. In fact, my gullibility has left the building ever since I accidentally clicked Legoman1's gross link. Were you talking about that guy who said that there was a "$1000 X-Wing Collector's Edition set"? I can't believe that I clicked that link before looking at the source thingy at the bottom of my browser (the one that shows you the link you're about to click on). And yes, I do think that we need a new Tri-Droid set. There's only been one of it, and I couldn't get it because it was made before I liked LEGO. I would be very happy if they did make one, though. EDIT: I asked the guy who said that rex would be in a set and he told me he asked a lego employee. Still a bit unsure though. The freeco speeder or whatever would make a great small set for the theme. I still don't believe him, though. A LEGO employee would probably keep that as a secret. Another EDIT: I bet that there will be a new set with Rex, though. LEGO probably wouldn't make minifigures for just one set if they have lots of printing on them.
