Tank Droid:

My summation: I believe the Helmet may be new, but most definitely, we will be getting a new visor... Or possibly the old style visor in white. Although Darth Legolas's hypothesis could be correct, and this does turn out to be only camera glare... But the slope in the back does noticeably look, at least in my opinion, different. One may notice that this visor is covering the location of where the helmet holes should be. I believe this helmet could be the senate guards mold. And it looks like there will be only one, as the other, at least in that picture, clearly is the current style. Regardless, this set sure is stirring up the pot, as so many of your comments have been directed to this debate. Leave it to Lego to put the interesting clone facing his quarry, as he alludes our own inquiry!

Tank Droid:

I think we get a new head. The one from the picures looks like Bacaras or Rex (Snowoutfit) ones.

Maybe TLC thought that such a figure make this set more interesting...

Pirate Tank:

The official european price of the new pirate tank will be 39.99€.

You guys are looking at this picture aren't you? Both clones have exactly the same regular helmets. If you don't believe me, get a real LEGO helmet, turn it round to that angle and you will see it's the same old helmet. You can see the hole and the black stripe, so he's clearly not wearing a visor. I'm 100% sure it's the same helmet.

Actually, now you come to mention it, doesn't the battle droid have a new head? Oh, no, because that would be pointless when TLG already has a well suited mould already that would suit the fig fine!

Also, where did you get the Pirate Tank price from?

This is really cool that TLC is releasing a mini AT-TE. I am glad I am a member of Lego Brickmaster, since I get all of the exclusive sets that are awsome! When is the set going to be released?

I really like the little run of GAR Minis that Brickmaster is feeding us. Sure, I'd have liked something other than a redesign of a previous Mini, but it's a great redesign, so nothing to complain about here deino2.gif

I dont know if this belongs here or in the price ranting post, but I found some prices on the new sets from a dutch (mailorder) site where I ordered some sets in the past. It says release dates are expected in june 2009.

7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid € 22,00

7749 Echo Base € 22,00

8036 Separatists Shuttle € 32,00

8037 Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter € 58,00

8038 The Battle of Endor € 91,00

8039 Republic Cruiser Venator € 117,50

For reference click here

You dont have to understand dutch to find your way to the starwars section with sets and prices.

For me it's a big relief the prices arent as high as I expected. Of course these just indicate the prices for the Netherlands and Belgium.

While looking at the AT-OT I saw the gunship had the Scrap em sticker on it on the 360 spin like the other GS. I like the scrap em one better because it looks Lego. The wampa and monkey lizard don't. If I got the Gs I would have done the Tie'likke(terrible spelling :hmpf: ) and will do the scrap em one. Have any of you noticed this?

Also, I was surfing Brickshelf and found This. (click)

You can see the jetpacks better there, and it looks like the trooper closer to the camera has a new helmet, maybe.

Yes, we know. I had just said that the helmet looks like it might be new.

But it doesn't, for the reasons I stated. I was talking more about what Bricks and Palin Jax said. :sceptic:

I had seen this but hadn't thought anything of it, at the time. I don't want to put the stickers on either LAAT, I prefer to keep them anonymous.

I havent seen this yet but the Dropship & AT-OT release date has been moved to March 10th. For me this is horrible. I am still not ready for it. :cry_sad:

To be more accurate TLC's scrap 'em sticker is supposed to be much smaller and above where TLC puts their LAAT stickers. Also the only thing new on the jetpack clones is the jetpack not the actual clone or his helmet.

Technically it's been moved to 10 March. Strange it is, March 30th, April 10th, now March 10th? TLG has some indecision...

Yes, we've established that already.

Does anyone have any information about the rumored cheap set with Captain Rex?

It's not even worthy of being rumor. There's no proof, there's one vassal who says he asked a clerk at a Lego store. And now, no offense to the vassal or the clerk, but I highly doubt the validation of that statement simply because there's no proof.

Wow...wordy that sentence was. :yoda::tongue:

Aye. There really should be a commander clone at least in the AT-OT. If we cant get a jedi we should get a commander clone. Bly would be good in my opinion.

And end up paying another 10 bucks? Virtually this set is designed for army builders, those who want mildly important vehicles, but since they exist they have to get one. I have four CW commanders (the three official plus my custom Gree,) and I'm fine with 6 clones and two pilots. Though it is more likely that a gunner would man the AT-OT...

I know this is a previous argument but in most very expensive star wars sets there are more that 8 non-exclusive figures. Why put 16 seats if you can fill or almost fill them?

LegoKing

It's going to be released on July-August, though the newest LEGO Club magazine says September-October (they messed up the months badly).

Come ON TLC! ANOTHER Brickmaster set? I'm NOT going to pay $40 for a longer magazine and this. :hmpf_bad:

Some people like me actually like the brickmaster sets and the extra bonuses are a definate plus.

Quick update for the AT-OT w/ Dropship set.

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=520&d=322

Release date for United States changed to March 10th. Hm?

I do not expect members to read back 10 to 15 pages, but this has been posted within the past 24 hours already.

Please people do read at least the last 3 pages before posting.

I've never seen this much reposting of news during my time as a member here on EB.

I was thinking about a previous post and even though the Jet Troopers (clone) DO have different armour compared to other clones. The standard clone armour weighs about 20kg (ep3 about 17kg), so the Jet Trooper armour weighs substancially less because it has to fly. That said, Lego could have (but probably won't) made new armour. That might explain why there were no Jet Troopers at the NY toy fair.

Maybe... But I don't think so

And about the Y-Wing, does the Y-Wing have red engines or blue engines?
