Natman8000 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 The Venator seems like a much better deal than the Republic Attack Gunship, for the same price. It's probably much larger...that's the reason why I want it. Yes but quality not quantity. A big set doesnt make a good set. Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Yes but quality not quantity. A big set doesnt make a good set. I agree with you Natman8000 even though its big it could just be a big pile of LEGO's. Anyways back on topic, does anybody know when the Pirate Tank or MSMF is coming out? Probably a little bit after the Summer Wave is my guess. Quote

On the subject of the venator, IMHO it's an awful ship, I definitely won't be getting it. Quote

And thought someone said (or was it me...) an official release date for Germany. I think it was August/September... 'Bricks' Edited March 31, 2009 by Bricks Quote

'Bricks' Thanks for that Bricks. It seems me and Cody can be right. Well, partially. Quote

Well even though the MSMF won't have any figures do you think it will have a interior? Quote

Well even though the MSMF won't have any figures do you think it will have a interior? As I said before, I don't know what faces have the Senate Commandos, because my friend didn't opened the set till now... And I think the 'Mid-Scale: Millenium Falcon' haven't got a interior. Because there is no use for it... 'Bricks' Quote
-JD- Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 (edited) I suppose there is no use having an interior, considering there are no figures in the set. If you don't like the Venator once you have got it, just break it up. Btw, its LEGO not LEGO's CommanderCody77. Do you think the sled from the Sep Shuttle will fit in the AT-TE or old Droid Carrier? Then Nute could drive off with one of them. Greetings, JD EDIT; Just noticed the sled does not have any slot pieces. Excuse the name, I don't know how to describe it. THat is exactly the same reason I want it HAHA I counted the studs on the length of the venetor from the the picture and it was around 52-53. The gunship is only around 45 Quote
RileyC Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I reckon the venator will be great! I love palpatines coat thing!! Quote

I'm on the fence about the Venator, it just seems so unfinished(did you see the pilots cockpit?!?) But I can't see myself passing up those Senate Commandos , I just hope their is a magnet set since it would be a cheap way to get those figs(2 Commandos and Palpatine would be a nice deal, even though there hasn't been a magnet set with two of the same minifigures in it) Quote
MicroM Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I reckon the venator will be great! I love palpatines coat thing!! I agree, the Venator looks good. Though I do also agree that the pilot area seems a little underdone. The design of this ship is really good, I love seeing them on the CW series. This is a must have for me, and that Palpy figure is really good. Quote

Some information on the Pirate Tank: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3764252 Snail Tank: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3762847 Senate Commando. Can you see the flesh head? And the printing of the chin? That definitely looks like a clone head. Greetings, JD Edited April 1, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote

Clone OPatra Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Some information on the Pirate Tank:http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3764252 Snail Tank: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3762847 Take a good look at those descriptions, and you'll notice the spelling errors. The font and spelling errors kind of show that these descriptions are not from TLG. Also, those descriptions don't say anything that you wouldn't know from looking at the one pic of the Pirate Tank and the pics of the Snail Tank available on the web. What I don't understand is, who cares enough to make their own descriptions and slap it on a background and post it online? Quote

TLG has never done anything like this before, so why would they start now? Whoever made this probably had the same thoughts as everyone who made all of the "fake" sets: they just wanted to trick somebody. BTW I'm new, so please add me as a friend! Quote

Clone OPatra Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Welcome to EB! Also do you think the price for the Pirate Tank is real? We can't be sure based on this description, but that price is close to what I remember hearing previously, and it wouldn't surprise me. The Solar Sailer was an equivalent amount overpriced to its piece count as this price is to the Pirate Tank's piece count. And this is a later exclusive, so it is expected that it would cost a little more than usual. Quote
Commander Assassin Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Welcome to EB! Also do you think the price for the Pirate Tank is real? I really wouldn't be surprised if the PT was $44.99 USD. It seems about $10 USD overpriced as we saw before w/ the Solar Sailor. Quote
The Who Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 And I think the 'Mid-Scale: Millenium Falcon' haven't got a interior. Because there is no use for it... I can promise you that there is no more than, at most, a tiny compartment in the Falcon. I suppose there is no use having an interior, considering there are no figures in the set. Exactly. Also do you think the price for the Pirate Tank is real? No. That seems to be way, way too much for the set in the picture that we saw. Quote
The Crazy One Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) I see no point in the Mid-Scale Falcon, I mean it has no figures, no compartments and it won't fit in with any other sets. Not a good make by Lego in my opinion. Edit: 300th post yey!! Edited April 3, 2009 by The crazy one Quote

Not a good make by Lego in my opinion. Edit: 300th post yey!! I agree, we really don't really need another MF as they have released one last year. Maybe they released one more because since last year's one was very expensive so not too many people got the set. So maybe the price wouldn't be so expensive this year. Quote

I do like the mini sets, but I think this one is a bit pointless considering we have had a lot of MFs in the past years, not to mention the huge Ultimate Collecters Edition they could have made a mid-scale of another set.
